Maruti XL6 luxury MPV: Check out four new video teasers

Maruti Suzuki will launch the new XL6 in the Indian market on 21st August. Before launch, Maruti Suzuki has officially revealed the name of the car and has also made the microsite of the vehicle live. Maruti Suzuki is yet to start bookings for the upcoming car but it is expected to do that soon. Before the official launch, which is scheduled to take place later this month, Maruti Suzuki has partially revealed a few features of the car through teaser videos.

The four new video highlight the four different features of the upcoming XL6. The first video in the series shows the front grille, which is very different from the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The XL6 gets a single-bar chrome grille that makes the front-end look very premium. The second feature highlighted in the video are the headlamps. Unlike the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the XL6 gets a different set of headlamps.

The headlamps on the XL6 are shaped differently but that’s not the only difference. Since it will be a premium product and will be aimed at a different set of customers, the XL6 will offer full-LED headlamps. This ensures that the MUV gets a premium look while offering greater visibility on the roads at night.

The third video in the series highlights the dashboard and the infotainment system of the upcoming car. It should be noted that the Maruti Suzuki XL6 gets an all-black cabin theme and the dashboard is also all black. Even the wooden trim have been darkened in the vehicle that offers a much more premium feel and sportier look to the cabin. Just like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the XL6 gets a touchscreen-based infotainment system. Maruti Suzuki will offer the latest SmartPlay infotainment system with the XL6, which is different from the Ertiga.

In the last video teaser of the XL6, the whole cabin is shown. Unlike the Ertiga, which gets a bench seat in the middle row, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 offers captain seats. The leather-wrapped seats are much more comfortable and premium when compared to the Ertiga. The XL6 offers a 2+2+2 seating arrangement while the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga gets the 2+3+2 set-up. Overall, the XL6 is much more premium than the Ertiga.

Maruti Suzuki will sell the XL6 through the premium Nexa dealership network while the Ertiga will remain on sale through the regular Arena dealers. The XL6 will come powered only by a diesel engine option since Maruti Suzuki has decided to discontinue all the diesel-powered vehicles from their line-up when the BS6 emission norms come into the effect. The XL6 will be quite expensive than the Ertiga but will remain cheaper than the Toyota Innova.
