Maruti Vitara Brezza has donned the Jeep Compass look quite a few times in the past and here is yet another Vitara Brezza with the Jeep Compass grille. The grille fits the profile of the sub 4-meter Brezza quite well. Jeep SUVs get the iconic 7-slat grille in all their vehicles and the Brezza seen here gets a similar looking grille that looks quite fabulous. Interestingly, Jeep is planning to launch a vehicle that will take on the Brezza segment soon.
The 7-slat grille started surfacing in the market for the Brezza soon after the launch of Jeep Compass in India. While the Compass is the most affordable Jeep branded vehicle in India, it still costs much more than the likes of Vitara Brezza in the Indian market. Jeep SUVs are a dream vehicle for many and to live that dream, many owners replace the stock grille with the iconic 7-slat grille. It is a brand new vehicle in the picture and the temporary number plate is visible. It seems that the owner had a clear vision of doing this soon after buying the vehicle.
The Vitara Brezza also gets twin-spoked aftermarket rims that further lifts up the looks of the vehicle. Such visual modifications do not hamper the warranty of vehicle and are perfectly safe. While the enthusiasts will be able to tell the difference in a glance, the non-enthusiastic crowd will take some time to figure out the vehicle with the new grille.
Mechanically, the Vitara Brezza stays stock. The Brezza is only powered by a single engine option in India. It gets a 1.3-litre Multijet engine that produces a maximum power of 89 Bhp and a peak torque of 200 Nm. Brezza also does not have an automatic transmission yet. Maruti is expected to launch a petrol version of the compact SUV soon. It will be a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that is also available in the Baleno RS.
The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza gets a starting price of Rs. 7.2 lakh, while the Jeep Compass gets a starting price of Rs. 15.2 lakh. There is a stark price difference between the two that cannot be matched with a grille swap but nonetheless, it gives a different identity to the Brezza.
