Maruti WagonR base variant modified into the top-end trim

Maruti WagonR has been one of the most popular hatchbacks from Indian manufacturer. The car has been in the market for a very long time and Maruti has put efforts and brought new generations of WagonR to retain buyers interest. The current generation WagonR that we have in the market was launched in the market couple of years ago. Maruti Suzuki offers variety of genuine accessories for this family hatchback. Aftermarket accessories are also available in the market. Here we have a video where base variant Maruti WagonR has been neatly modified into a top-end trim.

The video has been uploaded by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. Starting with the exterior, the vlogger has installed Maruti’s genuine robust kit on the car. The robust kit includes white coloured garnish on front bumper along with faux silver skid plate. Other modifications include genuine chrome garnish for front grille, gloss black garnish for headlamps, projector fog lamps with chrome garnish around it.

Moving to the side profile, the stock steel rims on the car have been replaced with Maruti Suzuki’s genuine 14 inch dual tone alloy wheels. As part of the Robust kit, there are black claddings installed on fenders along with a side skirt with black and white combination. Other additions here include roof rails, door visors, window garnish, high heat rejection clear film, auto folding ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and door beading.

Moving to the rear, just like the headlamp, tail lamps also comes with gloss black garnish on it. Both front and rear bumper get bumper protectors and there is a chrome garnish installed on the tail gate below registration plate. A silver coloured body kit has also been installed on the rear bumper to give it rugged look. Another accessory that has been installed on the car is a roof mounted spoiler. LED reflector lamps have also been installed on the rear bumper.

As this is a base variant WagonR only the front gets power window option from factory. That has been upgraded using genuine switches and now all four doors get power windows. The switch panel and the center console get a grey coloured faux wooden panel. The car gets steering mounted audio control and aftermarket touchscreen infotainment system. The touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and it also shows feed from the rear parking camera. Speakers have been upgraded and Maruti genuine scuff plates have also been installed.

Coming to the seat, the fabric seat covers on WagonR has been replaced with custom fit leatherette seat covers. The floor has been completely laminated and it gets floor mats as well. The foot well area gets ambient lights The WagonR also gets remote central locking as well.

Overall, the car looks neat with all the modifications in place. As the vlogger has used genuine accessories in most of the places, the car does not look odd. It definitely looks upmarket and is going to be hard for anyone to guess the variant by just looking at it.
