Maruti Suzuki had launched the all new WagonR just last week and the car has made some headlines for itself. The tall boy hatchback has been priced at Rs. 4.19 lakhs for the base LXi 1.0 variant while the top of the line ZXi AGS 1.2 has been priced at Rs. 5.69 lakhs.
Compared to the previous generation car, it is larger, more powerful, comes with more features and is just marginally more expensive than the model it replaces. Maruti Suzuki offers a lot of accessories with its cars and same is the case with the new WagonR. Down below is the video which showcases all the accessories available for the car in the Robust kit.
There are both interior and exterior accessories available for the hatchback. The company has made available a total of 3 different kits for the WagonR. Named the Playtime, Robust and Casa, they contain accessories based on different themes. On many of its cars like the Ignis and Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki offers a host of customization options which includes accessories, wraps, graphics among others. However, all of them are not available on the WagonR. The accessories here include typical bits like body cladding, custom door sills among others. Let’s now check all the accessories available in the Robust Kit.
Talking about the exteriors first, the all new WagonR gets many accessory options to make it look better. The front gets a dual tone front extender which gives it a slight lower stance. Then comes the body side molding and black cladding on wheel arches, both of which give the car a robust look. Dual tone side extenders are also a part of the accessory kit. Other accessories include door visors, number plate chrome garnish, dual tone rear extender and rubber door guard. Moving on, let’s now check the interior accessories available on the car.
For the interiors, there is a whole styling kit named Silver Prism. It is a type of glossy finish done on the lower centre dashboard along with other areas like inside door handles. Steel door sill guards with WagonR embossed on them can also be opted for as per the buyer’s choice. Other interior accessories include steering wheel cover, custom seat covers, and designer mats. One can also choose for several other accessories which are made available by the dealerships.
The Maruti Suzuki WagonR gets two engine options, a 1.0-litre engine and a 1.2 litre engine. The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine is carried over from the older car and produces 67 Bhp of power at 5,500 rpm along with 90 Nm of peak torque at 3,500 rpm. Meanwhile, The 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine produces 82 Bhp of power at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 113 Nm at 4,200 rpm. Both the engine come with a automatic (AMT) gearbox option apart from a 5 speed manual gearbox.
The Maruti WagonR will face competition from Hyundai Santro and Tata Tiago in the affordable hatchback category in the Indian market. Bookings are now open and the first deliveries have already begun. An electric variant of the WagonR is in the works for a 2020 launch. Before that though, LPG and CNG dual fuel options are likely to be made available in the car.
