Massive discounts on BS4 SUVs in India: From Hyundai Venue to Jeep Compass

The Indian government has announced that the BS6 emission norm implementation will happen on 1st April 2020 and post that, no BS4 compliant vehicles will be registered. While many manufacturers started offering BS6 compliant vehicles since 2019 and have finished their BS4 inventories, there are quite a few manufacturers who are still offering BS4 compliant vehicles in the Indian market and are slowly updating to the BS6 emission norms. Well, there are quite a few dealers across India who have a few stocks left of BS4 compliant vehicles in India and to sell the stock before 1st April, they are offering huge discounts on the same.

Hyundai Venue

Discount up to Rs 50,000

Launched last year, the Hyundai Venue became instantly popular in the Indian market. The all-new car was recently launched with BS6 compliant engine. The dealers are trying to exhaust the BS4 stocks by offering Rs 50,000 discount on the Venue. The discount is available only on the diesel variants of the car. It should be noted that the BS6 complaint Venue offers a 1.5-litre diesel engine that replaced the 1.4-litre engine.

Tata Nexon

Discount up to Rs 1 lakhs

The Tata Nexon was launched in a facelifted avatar with BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engine options. The pre-facelift models are almost sold out but there are still a few in the market that are available for sale and the buyers can get up to Rs 1 lakh off depending on the variants. The top-end versions get the highest discounts.

Jeep Compass

Discounts between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakhs

The Jeep Compass is undoubtedly the most popular vehicle from their range of SUVs in India. It is also the most affordable one. The Compass faces a stiff challenge in the market after the launch of new products like the Kia Seltos. The BS4 compliant unsold Jeep Compass is currently available with a discount of up to Rs 2 lakhs on the top-end versions. The lower variants are available with at least a discount of Rs 1 lakh.

Renault Duster

Discount Rs 2 lakhs

Renault will soon launch a more powerful version of the Duster in the market. Before that, there is a heavy discounting on the BS4 compliant Duster and the AWD version of the SUV is available with a massive discount of Rs 2 lakhs. The lower-end models get a lower discount but there is a discount of at least Rs 1.5 lakhs on the Duster.

Nissan Kicks

Discount Rs 2.6 lakhs

Nissan is offering a discount of up to Rs 2.6 lakhs on its flagship SUV in India – the Kicks. The manufacturer is offering a flat Rs 2.6 lakhs discount if you buy their demo BS4 compliant Kicks while there is a discount of Rs 1.6 lakh if you go for a new vehicle.

Tata Hexa

Discount Rs 2.25 lakhs

The Tata Hexa was showcased in a new BS6 avatar at the 2020 Auto Expo. While there is still time for the new car to arrive in the market, Tata has announced a massive discount of Rs 2.25 lakhs on the existing BS4 stock of the Hexa. The discount is applicable to all the variants and on the on-road price of the SUV.

Isuzu MU-X

Discount up to Rs 3 lakhs

The Isuzu MUX, which is a very value-for-money product is currently available with a discount of Rs 3 lakhs. The car takes on the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Mahindra Alturas. Isuzu MUX will be launched in the BS6 emission norm soon but before that, the brands and the dealership network wants to sell-off the products that they have on the shelve.

Mahindra Alturas

Discount up to Rs 4 lakhs

The Mahindra Alturas is the flagship SUV from the brand in the Indian market. The Alturas is currently available with a cash discount of Rs 2.9 lakhs. There are additional discounts and benefits like exchange bonus that can take the total discount to Rs 4 lakhs. The Alturas takes on the likes of Toyota Fortuner in the market and is already regarded as a value-for-money product.

Honda CR-V

Discount up to Rs 5 lakhs

Honda CR-V, the most expensive vehicle from the brand is currently available with a cash discount of Rs 5 lakhs! The SUV is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The Honda CR-V is also offered in optional 4WD version. This is currently the highest BS4 discount available in the market.
