While the smaller cars and SUVs have seen a reduction in price, the luxury segment is what has seen a massive drop in prices. Prices have fallen upto Rs 67 lakhs. Here is what the changes now look like in the luxury segment:

Rolls Royce Phantom
Rs 67 lakhs
The Phantom, which is the most expensive vehicle on sale in the country is also the vehicle which has had the largest drop in prices. Drop in prices are upto Rs 67 lakhs, which is massive. The Phantom can be had in the normal sedan, the extended wheelbase version and a coupe or convertible. Power comes from a 6.75 liter v12 which produces 453 Bhp and 720 Nm. The model will see a facelift sometime by the end of this year.
Rolls Royce Ghost
Rs 52 lakhs
The Ghost, which is the baby Rolls Royce is the next car on this list. The vehicle, which is in its second generation (Series II) will see a drop in prices of upto Rs 52 lakhs. The Ghost too can be had in normal or long wheel base variants. Power comes from a 6.6 liter engine making 563 Bhp and 780 Nm.
Range Rover Vogue
Rs 48 lakhs
The Vogue, which is the company’s flagship model has seen a price cut earlier in the year as well, due to the fluctuation of the British Pound. Now, the drop in price is upto Rs 48 lakhs. There are a few engine options on offer on the Vogue. The base diesel is a 3.0 liter V6 making 244 Bhp and 600 Nm. There is also a 4.4 liter V8 diesel making 335 Bhp and 740 Nm. There is a petrol 3.0 liter V6 making 335 Bhp and 450 Nm. There is also a 5.0 liter petrol V8 making either 503 Bhp and 625 Nm or 543 Bhp and 680 Nm.
Rs 27 lakhs
The Bentayga is the most expensive SUV on sale in the Indian market and is also among the fastest. It has a drop in price of upto Rs 27 lakhs. Power comes from a 6.0 liter W12 engine making 600 Bhp and 900 Nm. It does the 0-100 dash in 4.1 seconds and has a massive options list.
Rs 26 lakhs
The Maybach too is cheaper by upto Rs 26 lakhs. The Maybach is on offer in 2 versions in the Indian market. You either have the 500 which is powered by a 4.7 liter V8 making 453 Bhp and 700 Nm or the 600, which is powered by a 6.0 liter V12 engine making 530 Bhp and 830 Nm.
Range Rover Sport
Rs 25 lakhs
The Range Rover Sport, like its elder brother the Vogue, has also become cheaper by as much as Rs 25 lakhs. The vehicle can also be had with a range of engine options. The base diesel is the 3.0 liter V6 which makes 289 Bhp and 600 Nm, while the base petrol is the 3.0 liter V6 making 335 Bhp and 450 Nm. Then you have the diesel V8 and the petrol V8, which make similar power to that on the Vogue.
Rs 24 lakhs
Lamborghini launched their flagship model, the Aventador in a new variant, the S earlier this year. The vehicle gets more aggressive styling (not that it needed it) and more power. The engine is the same 6.5 liter V12 but it now produces 730 Bhp and 690 Nm. A drop in price of upto Rs 24 lakhs is what can be had on the Aventador.
Rs 24 lakhs
Porsche offers a wide range of models on all its vehicles. The Cayenne is no different. The max discount that can be had on the Cayenne is upto Rs 24 lakhs. The variants range from a base 3.0 liter V6 diesel making 245 Bhp and 550 Nm to a massive 4.8 liter V8 petrol making 500 Bhp and 700 Nm. There are other engine options as well.
Rs 23 lakhs
The F12, which has now been replaced by the 812 is the company’s flagship sports car. The F12 is now cheaper by Rs 23 lakhs. Power comes from a 6.2 liter V12 that produces 731 Bhp and 690 Nm. Till the 812 launches in the Indian market later in the year, we will continue to have the F12.
Rs 13 lakhs
The 911 range is also massive. There are loads of models to suit everyone’s needs, ranging from a base 3.4 liter engine making 325 Bhp and 390 Nm to the range topping Turbo S, which makes 560 Bhp and 700 Nm. Porsche also unveiled a brand new version, the GT2RS which is the most powerful and the wildest 911 ever.
Range Rover Evoque
Rs 12.35 lakhs
The Evoque, which is the smallest Range Rover on sale has also undergone a massive price cut. With a drop of upto Rs 12.35 lakhs, the Evoque is now very well priced. There are 2 engine options on offer. There is a 2.0 liter petrol and a 2.0 liter diesel engine. The petrol 237 Bhp and 340 Nm. The diesel only comes in one state of tune, which makes 177 Bhp and 430 Nm. The petrol comes in a single variant only , while the diesel comes with a few variants.
Rs 11 lakhs
The GLS is Mercedes’s flagship SUV. It is now cheaper by upto Rs 11 lakhs. The GLS comes with a total of 3 engine options. You have the crazy GLS 63 AMG which is powered by a 5.5 liter V8 making 577 Bhp and 760 Nm. There is also a V6 petrol and a V6 diesel which is on offer.
BMW 7 Series
Rs 11 lakhs
BMW’s flagship sedan, the 7 Series too will now be cheaper by as much as Rs 11 lakhs. The 7 Series was updated last year and comes in 4 engine options now, the base 730ld, the base petrol 740li, the 750li and the newly launched 760li. The diesel is a 3.0 liter straight six one which produces 262 Bhp and 620 Nm. The base petrol is a 3.0 liter straight six too which produces 322 Bhp and 450 Nm. The 750 is a 4.4 liter V8 which produces 450 Bhp and 650 Nm and the 760, which gets the M badge is powered by a 6.6 liter V12 making 600 Bhp and 800 Nm. This one also gets the xDrive AWD system.
Rs 10 lakhs
The XJ is Jaguar’s flagship model. Currently, it is on offer on only a single version, featuring a 2.0 liter petrol unit which makes 237 Bhp and 340 Nm. Prices have dropped by Rs 10 lakh for the same. The company recently discontinued the 3.0 diesel which was on offer.
Rs 8.17 lakhs
The A8, which is the Audi’s luxury sedan will see a drop in price by as much as Rs 8.17 lakhs. The vehicle is soon to be replaced by an all-new generation vehicle, slated to debut this month. The A8 can be had with both petrol and diesel engine options. There are 2 diesel engine options and 2 petrol. You could either have the 3.0 liter V6 or the 4.2 liter V8 in case of the diesel and a 4.0 liter V8 or a 6.3 liter W12 engine in the petrol side.
Rs 8.06 lakhs
Audi’s most popular SUV, the Q7 too has now become cheaper. The Q7 can be had with only one engine option, the 3.0 liter V6 diesel unit which produces 245 Bhp and 600 Nm. The price cut is as much as Rs 8.06 lakhs on the Q7.
Rs 6 lakhs
The Mustang is not only the first muscle car to go on sale in the Indian market, but it is also the cheapest V8 to be on sale in India. And now, it is cheaper by upto Rs 6.0 lakhs, making it a lot more affordable. The Mustang is powered by a 5.0 liter V8 making 396 Bhp and 515 Nm. The Mustang has been selling very well since it was introduced. This shall certainly boost that.
Rs 3 lakhs
The X5 is BMW’s largest SUV on sale, currently. The company has it on offer in both 5 and 7 seat versions. The X5 is offered in both a petrol and a diesel engine option. The petrol is the 3.0 liter straight six which produces 306 Bhp and 400 Nm while the diesel is also a 3.0 liter straight six which produces 258 Bhp and 560 Nm. The X5 is now cheaper by upto Rs 3 lakhs.
