Mercedes Benz R350 MPV launched at Rs.58.90 lakh

Mercedes Benz has launched its R-Class MPV at Rs. 58.90 lakh. The R-Class is a luxury people mover and it now has 4×4 (4Matic) and a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Mercedes claims the R350 CDI 4MATIC MPV has sedan like performance along with SUV like confidence thanks to its all-wheel-drive system.

It comes with attractive LED daytime running lights, a steel chassis with an air suspension system at the rear giving it a sorted and comfortable ride. It has a 633 litre boot that can be expanded up to 2,385 litres by folding the seats. It also comes with sporty aluminum trims, an electric sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels and a full chrome package.

The R-Class has all the equipment one expects from Mercedes-Benz in terms of safety and luxury, such as six airbags, seat-belt pretensioners and attention assist.  The seats are comfortable and spacious enough for seven passengers with classy and suave interiors. The MPV has thermotronic and parktronic – Mercedes speak for climate control and parking sensor system built into it.

This long wheel base MPV from Mercedes Benz will be available only in diesel and will sport a 2,987cc V6 diesel motor. The motor is complimented by a 7G-TRONIC, 4MATIC transmission. It has a claimed mileage of 11.25 kmpl.

The R-Class is likely to appeal to buyers who want a luxurious seven seater, with a much better ride quality than an SUV. It isn’t likely to be the first car for a family, but one that a buyer would want for vacation trips or inter-city commuting.
