Mercedes E350 Coupe launched in India

Mercedes India today launched the coupe version of the E 350 here in Mumbai.

The E350 Coupe was earlier showcased at the 2010 Auto Expo at Delhi. Incidentally this is the twelfth launch from Mercedes India this year and we are only in the fourth month of 2010.

The Mercedes Benz E350 Coupe is priced at Rs. 54.83 lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai and have hit the showrooms already. This 2 door coupe is powered by a six cylinder petrol engine. The 3498 cc engine of the E 350 COupe produces 272 hp with 350nm of torque at as low as 2400 rpm. The E 350 Coupe boasts of features such as Attention Assist which senses a drowsy driver and issues an alert, LED tail lamps with adaptive brake lights, agility control, selective damper control which allows the suspension to move freely, a panoramic sunroof, day driving headlights and a host of other Mercedes family features like the Pre-Safe, intelligent lighting system, adaptive braking that has its own brain, 7G-Tronic transmission with touch to name a few.

The Mercedes Benz E350 Coupe boasts of a drag coefficient of just 0.24; this makes it the world’s most aerodynamically efficient series-production car.

Preset at the launch were Dr. Wilfried Albur MD and CEO Mercedes India,  who described the E350 Coupe, Mercedes E-Class Coupé as aggressive, sporty and exclusive. Dr Albur also mentioned that only one variant of the E350 Coupe would be available and this variant would be the fully loaded one.

The Mercedes Benz E350 Coupe meets the needs of young individuals in India looking for a car that is athletic, striking and passionate, he added.

As of now, the Mercedes Benz E350 Coupe doesn’t have any competition in India but we would not be surprised if BMW or Audi get their Coupe versions here soon.
