Mercedes-Benz India has rolled out its Special Edition E-Class made specifically for the Indian market.

The company will produce only 192 units of the Mercedes E-Class Special Edition to maintain exclusivity, reports said.
Priced at Rs 43.4 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), the Mercedes Special Edition E-Class will be retailed on demand through Mercedes-Benz Dealerships across the country.
Dr. Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, said that the Mercedes-Benz E-Class is clearly the most sought-after luxury car and that the company has sold over 16,000 units of this car since its India launch in 1996.
“The Mercedes-Benz Special Edition E-Class will be a collector’s item – a luxurious, powerful and exclusive Mercedes-Benz with even more sporty and aggressive styling,” he said.
The Mercedes-Benz Special Edition E-Class will come with a 3-liter diesel engine coupled with additional design, trim and style improvements.
The car will have additional chrome lights, a new instrument cluster design, multi-function wood and leather steering wheel, and bird’s eye maple wood trim.
The Mercedes Special Edition E-Class sports 17” 5-double-spoke, light-alloy wheels highlighting the sporty stance of the car, and LED technology tail-lights.
The company has said that the LED technology has increased the reaction time for the trailing vehicles by as much as 160 milliseconds compared with regular lights, aiding in safety.
The Mercedes Special Edition E-Class comes in different shades such as Carneol Red, Obsidian Black, Calcite White, Tenorite Grey, Iridium Silver and Cubanite Silver.
The Mercedes-Benz Special Edition E-Class technical specifications include 7-speed Automatic Transmission with Touch Shift, 3-link front suspension with McPherson struts, and MB Multi-link independent rear suspension.
The Special Edition E-Class other features include a stabilizer bar, coil springs and gas shock absorbers, ventilated front disc brakes, solid rear disc brakes, and a steel spare wheel.
