Earlier in the year, Mercedes launched the facelifted version of the CLA across the globe. That makeover hasn’t made it to India yet though. On the 30th of November, Mercedes will launch the all new facelifted version of the CLA in the Indian market.
Since the model hasn’t been around for a long while, this is just a minor facelift that the vehicle will receive. It will include an all new front bumper, revised LED headlamps with new LED DRLs, a new tail lamp cluster and a new rear bumper with new exhaust tips. Similar updates were seen on the new A Class which was introduced last year. Globally, the CLA also got a new blue shade which was added to the list of exterior changes. It is yet to be known if the same will make its way to the Indian market.
On the inside, there is a major change though. There is an all new 8″ screen which is bigger than the outgoing version. It is operated by the COMAND infotainment system with Apple Car play and Android Auto. There are also new interior colour options on offer along with different materials. The CLA has always had great interior quality and a very cool looking dashboard. This one will continue to have the same.
Under the hood, the CLA currently comes with a petrol and diesel engine option. The same are expected to be carried forward to the new vehicle. In petrol guise, we have the CLA 200 which is powered by a 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine making 183 Bhp and 300 Nm while the diesel on the other hand is the 200d which is powered by a 2.1 liter diesel engine that only churns out 136 Bhp and 300 Nm. Both come mated to a 7 speed dual clutch transmission which sends power to the front wheels.
An inside source told us that there will be a slight increase in the price of the vehicle when it is introduced. Currently, the CLA range starts at Rs 31.6 lakhs for the diesel and Rs 33.8 lakhs for the petrol, ex showroom Delhi.
