The company aims to provide its clients with vehicle maintenance and repair services in the most convenient method in the comfort of their own homes. The program’s trial version was launched in Rajkot, and the company intends to expand its reach to additional inland areas across India in the future.
The MG Service on Wheels is a comprehensive package of services that assists clients with routine car maintenance as well as any necessary repairs and upkeep. The majority of service activities that are typically only offered in a workshop will be covered. The programme will be run by fully qualified and certified technicians with the help of MG customer care. This will strengthen the service network and increase its reach.
To meet quick and unexpected yet essential vehicle repair needs, MG Service on Wheels will function as a mobile workshop outfitted with all the required equipment, spare parts, and other consumables and digital assets. A straightforward and easy-to-use appointment booking system will run the programme. Customers will be able to communicate with the business and arrange their auto repair at their convenience.

MG Motors said that the Service on Wheels initiative will be put into action through the use of a mobile workshop. A hydraulic scissor lift, an air compressor with a washing pump and additional space for dry washing, a digital oil dispenser, a waste oil collecting tank, and a pneumatic line with a filter-regulator-lubricator (FRL) unit will all be included in the mobile workshop’s equipment list. In addition, there are provisions for an LED bulb for lighting and a spare parts rack that is completely stacked. The workshop vehicle also has a first-aid kit, an electronic control box, and a wheel balancer with a slider.
In other MG Motor India news, the company is gearing toward to the launch of the facelift for its SUV Hector. According to sources, the company will be taking the covers off of the new Hector sometime during the Diwali season of this year. The anticipated Level 2 ADAS is thought to be one of the next-generation Hector’s most important enhancements (advanced driver assistance system) in the all-new 2023 MG Hector. Also if the sources are reliable, the next model may have features like rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot recognition, front collision warning, and lane departure warning. The SUV is also anticipated to come with a touchscreen infotainment system with an updated user interface and an upgraded digital instrument cluster.
