A lot of new manufacturers will land in India later soon. One of them is the Morris Garages Motors or MG Motors that will launch its first ever car in the form of an SUV later this year. The all-new SUV is christened as the Hector and it will take on the likes of Jeep Compass and Tata Harrier in the Indian market. Since it is an all-new car, it is not known what exactly it will look like but in the latest video, MG Motors has released a few teasers of the SUV that gives us a few hints.
Even though the video mentions that the images shown in the video are representational, the production version of the vehicle is expected to quite similar to the pictures shown in the video. MG Motors is already testing the all-new SUV under a heavy camouflage on the Indian roads and the images shown in the video match up pretty well with the silhouette of the teaser images shown in the video.
The video reveals several features of the upcoming SUV. It will get a panoramic sunroof that covers both the driver and the passenger seats. The video also reveals the headlamp with DRLs of the upcoming vehicle and how neatly it is placed to look like a part of the front grille. The video also reveals the grille of the vehicle with the MG moniker placed in the middle. At the rear, it reveals the LED tail lamp of the vehicle that gets a similar shape to the headlamps of the upcoming Hector. It should be noted that on the test mules of the MG Hector, split headlamps were spotted.
None of the vehicles in the segment offer the panoramic sunroof except for the newly introduced top trim of the Jeep Compass. In fact, the Tata Harrier does not even offer a regular sunroof. The upcoming MG Motors Hector looks promising when it comes to feature. It expected to be loaded to the brim with the features in the Indian market. The video highlights the extremely muscular design of the upcoming SUV. It gets strong lines on the body that gives a bold character to the SUV.
The upcoming MG Hector will offer segment-leading dimensions in the Indian market. It will get 4,655mm of length, 1,835mm of width and 1,760mm of height. It will also get the 10-spoke wheels and large ORVMs with integrated indicators. MG Hector will feature a plush cabin with powered seats, cruise control, wireless phone charging, electric parking brake and a 360-degree camera.
MG will offer both petrol and diesel engine options with the upcoming Hector.
