It comes with an embedded eSIM, which will offer various Internet-based facilities and features. The users will be able to live track the vehicle, remotely shut it off and see other data too. Also, various features like the AC of the car can be controlled remotely through a smartphone, which is a never-seen-before feature in the segment. However, Hyundai launched similar features with the Venue earlier this year. Also, the car gets Artificial-Intelligence-based voice commands, which can be used to control the sunroof, windows, AC, infotainment and other such features. The Hector also gets features like a cruise control, electrically controlled driver seat, leather seats, digital MID and more.

The petrol variants will draw power from a 1.4-litre turbocharged engine that generates a maximum power of 143 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. It gets a choice of a dual-clutch automatic transmission and manual transmission. The diesel engine in the Hector is sourced from Fiat. It is the same 2.0-litre engine that powers the Jeep Compass. In the Hector, it produces a maximum of 170 PS and peak torque of 350 Nm. The diesel variants only get a 6-speed manual transmission. MG Motors also offers a 48V mild hybrid technology with the petrol engine option. It adds another 20Nm to the overall power but it is only available with a 6-speed manual transmission.
