Mitsubishi seems to be coming back with more offerings. Just yesterday we revealed that the company plans to bring in the all-new Outlander and now the company has silently launched a new variant of it’s highest selling SUV, the Pajero Sport. Christened the Select Plus, the model has been given a few updates which we shall run you through.
The Pajero Sport has been on sale for quite a while now and has seen a few special editions already. This one here has gotten more upgrades though. On the outside, you now get more cladding on the fenders, giving the car a more muscular look. The A,B and C pillars have been finished in gloss black now. The same treatment has been followed on the grille and the alloys as well. The mirrors have been left in chrome though. The special edition can be had in four combinations, black and white, black and red, black and silver and black and yellow.
Other changes include LED DRLs that have been added to the front bumper, HID headlamps, cruise control, DVD screen for the rear occupants and a chiller box. Both the 2wd and the 4wd variants are similarly loaded, which is a good thing.
Under the hood, the vehicle continues to be powered by the same 2.5 liter engine which produces 176 Bhp. The vehicle can be had in either a 2wd format (automatic, making 350 Nm) or a 4wd format (manual, making 400 Nm).
The new Select Plus can be had in both the 4×2 automatic and 4×4 manual guise. Price for the 4×2 is Rs 30.53 lakhs and that for the 4×4 is Ra 30.95 lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai.
While the new additions do make the Pajero a better package, the vehicle has already begun showing its age, which means the all-new Pajero should be making its way to the Indian market soon.
