The Hyundai Creta received a rather comprehensive facelift a few months ago. Among the biggest highlights of the updated Creta is the bolder, more stylish front grille, which makes the car look a lot bolder. It won’t be wrong to say that the new Creta actually looks fresher and more attractive than the pre-facelift version. Owners of the old Creta, however, can opt for this really cool LED grille to enhance the looks of their SUV. This aftermarket grille comes with really cool LED effects. It’s being sold by India-based Car Chic Automotive and costs Rs. 14,999, inclusive of installation.
This aftermarket grille has three dagger-like slats that are illuminated by LEDs. In the normal model, they remain illuminated by a cool blue colour through the day and night. Also, on turning on one of the indicators, the respective grille portion gets illuminated dynamically. This ensures that the motorists in front notice the turn indicator. The entire grille lights up with dynamic indicators on turning on the hazard lights.
As per the seller’s website, this grille is available in limited numbers only. Going by the high interest being shown by the netizens on this company’s Facebook page, it won’t be long before the sellers run out of stock. Other than this grille, you can also opt for LED accents for the fog lamp housings and front bumper. These LED fixtures work in sync with the Blaze grille. We feel that these LED units are interesting, albeit a bit loud, alternative to the stock LED DRLs available on the Creta facelift.
The Hyundai Creta has a starting price of Rs. 9.44 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The top-end model costs Rs. 15.04 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Creta is on sale with three engines options. The petrol-powered Hyundai Creta gets a 1.6-litre VTVT unit that produces a max. power of 121 bhp and a peak torque of 151 Nm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options. The diesel engine options include 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre CRDi turbocharged motors. The 1.4-litre engine produces 89 bhp and 220 Nm. It comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. The 1.6-litre unit outputs 126 bhp of max. power and 260 Nm of peak torque. It’s available with a 6-speed manual transmission along with an optional automatic gearbox. All-wheel drive isn’t available even as an option.
