Modified Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is a BEAST on wheels

Big Daddy Customs, known for interesting modifications, has just given the Isuzu V-Cross a heavy diet of steroids. The resulting vehicle is something that looks beastly, with tremendous street presence and unique looks that makes it stand out on the road. The lifestyle pick-up truck gets a lift kit from Ironman and taller, fatter tyres from Cooper, and alloy wheels from Lenso. The combination of lift and chunky tyres make the V-Cross look a lot more imposing than stock. In fact, this is one vehicle that will tower over almost all other cars on Indian roads.

Other changes to the V-Cross include a customized metal front bumper that will make lesser traffic stay out of the way because of how aggressive it now makes the pick-up truck look. There are auxiliary lamps mounted on to the front bumper for that extra bit of macho appeal, and of course better visibility when conditions demand it.

Then there’s the snorkel that will allow the vehicle to wade through some serious water. The rear bumper is also a customized unit while the pick-up bed now gets an anti-roll bar from Hammer along with a roof rack. To deal with the extra ride height, this V-Cross gets customized footsteps from Overland.

It’s unclear if the custom-built V-Cross is running a remap or tuning box. Such power and torque boosting options are quite popular among modified V-Cross pick-up trucks. Remaps can totally transform the character of the vehicle, and make it a lot more peppy for everyday use.

In stock form, the V-Cross uses a 2.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine with 134 Bhp of peak power and 320 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard and so is a rear wheel drive layout. The V-Cross also gets a four wheel drive transfer case as standard, with low and high ranges. However, the four-wheel drive has to be selected manually through a shift-on-the-fly electric knob.
