Modified Mahindra Thar Adventure and Explorer editions – VIDEO

The custom car scene in India has finally come of age. Today, we have many car owners who get their vehicles customised to suit their personal tastes. The Mahindra Thar is one such vehicle that has gone under the scalpel of many customisers. There are really plenty of customisation possibilities with the Thar. Here are two such custom-made modified Mahindra Thars. While one of them is called the Thar Adventure, the other one is known as the Thar Explorer.

The above video highlights the modifications that the two Thars carry. The Thar Adventure features an Angry Bird-inspired front grill. It also gets a custom bumper and fog lamps. The Thar has been given a ceramic coating for paint protection. It rides on custom wheels shod with wide MT tyres.

The Thar Adventure also features a custom exhaust and Bilstein shock absorbers. The interior also gets plenty of new bits. These include a new audio system with six components, amplifier and a sub-woofer. The head unit is a Kenwood touchscreen system. The biggest highlight, however, is the Bride sports seats. The Thar also gets power windows and a central locking system.

The Thar Explorer edition also comes with many modifications. It gets a custom bumper, a tent carrier, fog lights and side searchlights. Even this Thar comes with a new set of steel rims that are shod with wider tyres. It also gets a hard top, LED lights, rear fog lights and a tow hook. On the inside, it features a premium audio system with four components, an amplifier and a sub-woofer. It also gets electrically adjustable seats and a sunroof.

Also, it benefits from a Pete’s Tuning Box. The various modifications these Thars carry give them a distinct personality. While the Thar Adventure looks aggressive and slightly sportier than the stock version, the Explorer edition offers many comfort- and convenience-enhancing features.
