3 examples of modified Mahindra Thar from Bimbra 4×4

Ever since its launch, Mahindra Thar has been a popular topic on the internet. Mahindra received an overwhelming response from customers for the all-new Thar. The SUV became so popular among buyers that there is a long waiting period on the SUV. The manufacturer has increased the production to not keep the customers waiting for too long but, even then there is a waiting period of 6 to 10 months depending upon the variant. We have started seeing several modified versions of the new Mahindra Thar in India and here we have not one, not two but three examples of the new Thar that have been beautifully modified by Bimbra 4×4.

The video has been uploaded by Bunny Punia on his YouTube channel. The video shows three modified Mahindra Thar SUVs with different type of modifications on them. He starts with the first modified Thar. The all-black SUV looks elegant. The stock bumper on Thar has been removed and replaced with off-road bumpers that Bimbra 4×4 has developed. What makes these bumpers different from other off-road bumpers in the market is that, it does not affect the working on the airbag sensors.

The bumper even gets integrated fog lamps and Line-X coating on it. The front grille and headlights are also aftermarket units. Other than that, the stock CEAT tyres have been replaced for BF Goodrich units. On the inside, the whole cabin gets light brown or beige like leather upholstery. The light brown theme is also seen on the dashbaord, gear knobs, seats, roof liner and so on.

The next Mahindra Thar belongs to Bimbra 4×4 and is used as a project car to test all the modifications that they do. This Mahindra That also gets the off-road bumper, aftermarket grille, LED headlamps, BF Goodrich tyres and Radio antenna. This is a hard top variant and it gets a coat of Line-X on the roof and bumper. Another change here on this Mahindra Thar is the manual sunroof. This is India’s first 2020 Mahindra Thar to get an electric sunroof. The interior on this Mahindra Thar remains stock but, Bimbra is expected to make some changes here in the future.

The third Mahindra Thar is different from the other two. While they were both off-road oriented, the third one gets modifications to make it a better city SUV. The stock tyres and wheels have been replaced with 22 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. The wheels do look premium on the SUV and they completely change the stance. On the inside, there are red colour Nappa leather upholstery. Depending upon the materials that one would choose, the price of these projects would change. According to the video prices for such an interior modification would start at Rs 70,000 and go up till Rs 1 lakh.

Mahindra Thar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. There is a 2.0 litre turbocharged mStallion petrol engine that generates 150 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version is powered by a 2.2 litre turbocharged mHawk engine. This engine generates 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with both manual and automatic gearbox option.
