Modified Maruti Suzuki Jimny looks expedition ready

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny was one of the most eagerly awaited products from the Indian car manufacturer. The 5-door version of the Jimny was globally unveiled at the Auto Expo earlier this year, and the launch happened last month. Deliveries for this 4×4 SUV have already started, and we are seeing a couple of videos related to it online as well. Many owners have already started modifying the SUV to suit their liking. Here we have a Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUV that has been neatly modified with aftermarket accessories.

The images of this Maruti Suzuki Jimny have been shared by Auto Marc on their Facebook page. The white-colored Jimny has been modified to look like an expedition-ready vehicle. Let’s start with the front. The stock grille that comes with chrome slats has been replaced with an aftermarket blacked-out Jimny grille. The headlamps have also been replaced. It now features a set of new projector headlamps with ring-type LED DRLs.

Another noticeable change on this SUV is the bumper. The stock bumper of the Jimny has been replaced with an aftermarket off-road spec metal unit. The stock fog lamps are integrated into the new bumper, and an additional set of LED fog lamps has also been installed. There is a metal skid plate installed under the vehicle for added protection. Moving to the side profile, the owner has opted for Maruti genuine accessories that look like metal plates on the front and rear fenders.

Another attraction here is the wheels. The stock 15-inch rims and tires have been replaced with bigger aftermarket off-road spec alloy wheels. The exact size of the wheels is not mentioned here. The wheels are wrapped with thick-wall AT tires from the Yokohama brand. The stock tire on the Jimny is Highway Terrain. The owner has also installed side skirting. The ORVMs are stock; however, they now feature a matrix LED turn indicator strip.

The roof also features a metal rack from the Stellar brand, and a ladder has been installed on this SUV from the same brand. The roof rack has integrated auxiliary lamps. The side skirts installed on the car, along with blacked-out door handles, give the car a very rugged look. It looks like the owner did not go for the higher variant as he wanted to modify the vehicle. In addition to these modifications, the rear bumper of the car has also been replaced with a metal off-road bumper, and the stock tail lamps have been replaced with LED tail lamps with matrix turn indicators.

The owner of this SUV has also customized the interior of the Jimny. It now features black leatherette upholstery with red highlights and stitching. The steering wheel has also been wrapped with a new cover with red stitching. Apart from these modifications, there is nothing more on this SUV. The engine of this SUV remains untouched. The finished product does look very neat and off-road ready. The neatly executed modification work enhances the overall look of the car.
