India’s first modified all-new Maruti Dzire is here

Coimbatore-based car modifier KitUp has just modified the all-new Maruti Dzire. From the looks of it, this is India’s first modified new Dzire, arriving just 3 months after the car was launched here. The KitUp modified car has a range of modifications that will make it stand out from the thousands of other Dzire compact sedans that are already on Indian roads.

So, what are the changes?

For starters, you’ll immediately recognize that the colour this modified Dzire has been done up in is quite different. It’s a bright orange, a colour scheme that Maruti does not offer. KitUp calls the colour, Sunset Beam Pearl. The cosmetic changes continue to the roof of the car, which now gets a piano-black finish, making for nice contrast with the bright body paint.

The car also gets dual sunroof, a feature hitherto unseen on budget cars. Of course, it’s an aftermarket fitment. The lights go LED while the wheels have been upgraded to Momo alloy units measuring 17 inches in size. This is more or less what’s changed on the outside of the car.

Moving to the inside, the car gains luxury in the form of full-leather interiors. The leather-clad insides of the car look quite opulent, and that’s a big step up from the stock car’s look and feel. The dashboard also gets a leather headliner. KitUp has also added a new infotainment unit to the car, with a touch-screen module dominating the center console. The modified vehicle also gets a new audio package.

Under the hood, things remain unchanged. This particular example features the tried-and-tested 1.2 liter K-Series petrol engine with variable valve timing. The petrol motor makes 82 Bhp-113 Nm. This particular car uses the 5 speed AMT gearbox. The Dzire is also sold with a 5 speed manual gearbox.

The other engine option on the new Dzire is the 1.3 liter Fiat Multijet turbo diesel, making 75 Bhp-190 Nm. Like the petrol motor, the turbo diesel mill gets 5 speed manual and AMT gearbox options. Prices of the all-new Dzire start from Rs. 5.43 lakhs.
