Tata Nexon is currently one of the popular sub-4 meter compact SUV in the segment. It has a large fan base in the country for its build quality. It had scored 5 star rating at Global NCAP crash test and is one of the best car in the segment when it comes to safety. Tata launched the facelifted version of Nexon in the market last year with a different design and more features. There are several examples of modified Tata Nexon compact SUVs across the country and here we have another Nexon XMS trim that has been neatly modified.
The video has been uploaded by Rohit Mehta Sai Auto Accessories on their YouTube channel. The vlogger starts by showing all the modification that Sai Auto Accessories has done to the car. Starting at the front, the XMS trim comes with single projector headlamps. A red colour LED ring light has been installed around the projector to give it a devil eye look. Apart from that, they have also installed a long LED DRL that starts from one end of the bonnet to the other.
Coming down, it gets aftermarket LED fog lamp with both yellow and white light. They have also installed silver coloured tri-arrow design elements on he lower front grille. A diffuser has also been installed on the front bumper. Coming to the side profile, the car still gets steel rims but, they now get a dual tone wheel cap which mimics an alloy wheel. There are rain visors with chrome inserts and there are chrome garnishes on side fender and side body cladding. A white wrap has been installed on the roof partially.
At the rear, there is a diffuser installed on the bumper with fake exhaust tips on it. On the inside, a lot has been done to the car. Nexon gets a completely revamped interiors. The dashboard now gets walnut coloured leatherette wrapping and portion below that gets a carbon fiber finish. The door pads also get walnut colour padding and the inner door handle also gets carbon fiber finish. There are illuminated scuff plates installed on all the doors.
This Nexon also gets multi colour ambient lighting, aftermarket touchscreen infotainment screen, speakers, floor mats and so on. The fabric seat on Nexon now gets a walnut coloured seat covers with white accents and diamond shape stitching. Damping has been done on all the doors and an aftermarket armrest has also been installed on the car. As this is the XMS variant, it comes with an electric sunroof. Overall the car gets a premium look inside the cabin.
Tata Nexon competes with cars like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet and many more in the segment. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. There is a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine on offer which generates 120 Ps and 170 Nm of torque. The diesel version is powered by a 1.5 litre turbocharged engine that generates 110 Ps and 260 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and AMT gearbox options.
