Toyota Fortuner is one of the most popular SUV in its segment. Over the years, Fortuner has build a space for itself that no other SUV or manufacturer could. The popularity of the SUV does not seem to come down, even after price hikes. There are many people who are still using type 1 and type 2 Fortuner SUVs in the market. While most of them are driving the SUV stock, there are some who prefer customising the vehicle to their liking. Here we have one such video a 2012 model Toyota Fortuner diesel automatic SUV that generates around 210 bhp.
The video has been shared by Road Pulse on their YouTube channel. In this video, the owner of the SUV talks about the modifications, comfort and service cost of the SUV. This is a 2012 model diesel automatic Fortuner that has done around 1.76 lakh km. The car has not faced any major mechanical issues and the servicing is done from Toyota’s service center only. The owner of the SUV has modified this SUV over the years.
Starting with the front, the stock headlamps have been replaced with aftermarket units and the interior elements of the headlamps have been blacked out too. There is an LED DRLs integrated in it and the headlamps and the fog lamps are now LED units. The front grille has been replaced with an aftermarket Lexus type unit. A set of flashers are installed on the lower air dam too. Coming to the side profile, the SUV gets blacked out 17 inch aftermarket wheels and tyres. The Fortuner is taller than the stock version as it gets a 2 inch lift kit. The ORVMs have been hydro dipped to get a carbon fibre finish and the whole SUV is painted in Mica Black shade.
A set of marker lamps have been placed on the roof of this SUV. The footboard has been completely removed to enhance the overall look of the car. At the rear, the SUV gets a TRD spoiler, aftermarket LED tail lamps, blacked-out chrome applique on the tailgate, quad-tip exhausts and so on. This is all about the exterior of the car. The owner of this SUV has also done some performance mods to this SUV. It gets a stage 1 remap from Code6 and BMC air intake.
A stock type Fortuner generates around 169 Bhp but, this SUV after dyno test was generating around 210 Bhp. The owner does not mention the torque figures in the video. This makes this type 2 Fortuner one of the most powerful in the country. The owner of this SUV also got the interiors customised. He mentions that he really likes Black and that is reason why he went with an all-black theme for the cabin too. Till date, he has not faced any major issue with the vehicle and has been doing regular service from the authorised service centre only. The mentions that this is not the most comfortable SUV to drive due to all those modifications but it surely does look intimidating. The owner has spent around Rs 8 lakh on just the modifications.
