Monstrous GMC Yukon spotted on Indian roads

American brand GMC makes some of the biggest SUVs in the world. While the brand is not officially available in India, there are many enthusiasts who have imported GMC models from the international markets. Here is the latest GMC SUV imported to the Indian territory and it is the massive and monstrous GMC Yukon.

This 2021 GMC Yukon Denali was spotted in Bangalore, Karnataka. The unidentified owner of the SUV drove the vehicle around the roads of Bangalore and it sure grabs a lot of attention on the roads.

The video shows the massive road presence of the GMC Yukon Denali. There is no other vehicle as big as the GMC Yukon Denali on the roads. The GMC Yukon Denali is 5,334mm and 2,057mm wide. The GMC Yukon Denali is 1,943mm.

The all-black SUV gets all the modern bits like all-LED lamps at the front and the rear. The vehicle is powered by a 5.3-litre V8 VVT with Dynamic Fuel Management. The engine is made up of cast aluminium and it produces a maximum power of 355 PS at 5,600 rpm and 383 Nm of peak torque at 4,100 rpm. There is a more powerful 6.2-litre V8 engine available as well. It generates a maximum power of 420 PS and a peak torque of 460 Nm. Both these engines are petrol-powered.

The diesel engine option includes a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder turbocharged diesel. It generates a maximum power of 277 PS and a peak torque of 460 Nm.

Car is in India on Carnet

Now many of you must have looked at the Dubai registration plate and wondered about it. Well, the car is not registered in India.

Many car enthusiasts who have homes in foreign use the carnet facility to get their vehicles to India. Most of the vehicles through carnet come from the UAE though. Even millionaires like Gautam Singhania bring their high-end exotics like the McLaren 720S and many others to India through carnet.

Owners can only bring the vehicle for a few days or weeks to the Indian soil on the carnet. However, one can always increase the validity by approaching the authorities. Carnet is basically a passport for cars and other expensive goods that can be used to transfer vehicles from one country to the other.

There are several other cars that are temporary residents of India and are here on Carnet. Bringing a vehicle on carnet requires a plethora of paperwork and payment of taxes, duties and other charges as required by the country. The carnet paper is issued by the country where the car is registered and then the documents are properly checked by the authorities of the country where the car enters.
