Indian car market offers a wide range of SUVs in the affordable segment (sub Rs. 20 lakh, ex-showroom). Features are one of the first things that the customers look at while vehicles in India. To make buying experience easier, we bring you top five feature-rich SUVs available in the market. The Mahindra XUV500 wins here, followed by Tata Hexa… and the 5th place is taken by the Tata Nexon.

Mahindra XUV500

Mahindra is known for packing their vehicles with a long list of features. The XUV 500 is the best selling SUV from the segment, and the reason is the features it offers. The XUV 500 is the only vehicle in the segment to offer a sunroof. Apart from that, the top-end of the vehicle offers features like the 4WD system, automatic transmission with the diesel version.

The XUV also offers infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Navigation. The system also gets Mahindra BlueSense that shows driving habits, fuel economy and the data can be synced with the phone through an app. Other features include Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), cornering lamps, keyless start and go, puddle lamps, ambient lighting, cruise control. Tata Hexa

Tata’s flagship product at the moment has a long list of features to woo the customers. The Hexa comes with the 4X4 drive system and also gets Terrain response system that lets the vehicle set for modes like comfort, dynamic, and rough roads. The Hexa also offers automatic transmission but it is not available with the 4X4 layout.

The Hexa offers best-in-segment ten speaker system from JBL that really sets it apart from the rest. The Hexa also gets 6-airbags, cruise control, ABS+EBD and Electronic Stability Control (ESC). The Hexa also gets functional features like automatic headlamps.

Jeep Compass

The Jeep Compass has become quite popular in the segment. We will list the features of the Limited (O), which is the highest variant below Rs. 20 lakh, ex-showroom in India. Hyundai Creta is the highest selling car in the segment. The Creta comes with dual tone Piano Black finish roof and a sporty black spoiler that adds a very aggressive look to the vehicle. The car rides on 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.

There is a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that gets navigation and rear parking camera with sensors. The screen gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity too alongside MirrorLink. It also gets cruise control system. The ABS and dual airbags are standard across the range while the top end variant gets six airbags.

Tata Nexon

Tata has always been known for loading their vehicles with a long list of features. The Nexon was launched earlier this year, and it is the first sub 4-meter compact SUV from the manufacturer. It gets a long list of features, out of which many are a segment first. The Nexon gets multiple drive modes system that changes the engine output.

It also gets the segment-first floating type infotainment system that gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
