Mukesh Ambani, the richest person in India moves around with heavy security. He has been spotted quite a few times in a convoy of vehicles moving around in Mumbai. Here is a video of him leaving the Antilia, one of the most expensive house in India in a convoy. The video shows him and the family travelling in multi-crore cars with multi-crore cars protecting the whole convoy! Here are the details of every single car in the convoy.

Mercedes S-Guard

Price: Around Rs 9 crore

 

While it may look like a regular W221 S-Class, it is not. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class spotted in the video after the BMW X5 is the official car of Mukesh Ambani and one of the three armoured cars owned by Mukesh Ambani. The Mercedes-Benz S-Guard is made to look exactly similar to the regular version of the vehicle. The car gets VR9 ballistic protection, which can save the occupants from high-intensity IED and direct firing from automatic guns.

BMW X5

Price: Rs 70 lakh, ex-showroom, around 80 lakh, on-road

The BMW X5 is one of the top-of-the-line SUV from the brand. The Ambani security detail owns several of the BMW X5 SUVs. The cars were purchased by Reliance to be used by the security detail of Ambani and his family. All the BMW X5s used in the convoy get flashers on the top and Police marking on the sides. These are the xDrive 30 variants that are the entry-level model of the pre-facelift version of the BMWX5. The SUV is powered by a 3.0-litre inline 6-cylinder engine that gets twin-scroll turbo. The engine produces a maximum power of 258 Bhp and peak torque of 560 Nm.

Land Rover Discovery

Price: Rs 76.94 lakh, on road around Rs 90 lakh

The Land Rover Discovery is the latest addition to the security detail of the Ambani family and there is quite a handful of them. These are the latest-generation Discovery SUVs that follow the Ambani and his family’s car everywhere. The SUVs get powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine that produces a maximum power of 255 Bhp and peak torque of 600 Nm. The Land Rover Discovery used in the convoy are all marked and get the flasher at the top too. It should be noted that the Ambani convoy also uses the pre-facelifted Range Rovers in the convoy. Apart from the X5 and Discovery, the security detail of Ambani also consists of cars like Ford Endeavours and Toyota Fortuner.

Mercedes-Benz GLS 400 4MATIC

The Ambani family does not travel in the same cars for security reasons. Even if the family is headed towards the same destination, they will travel in different cars. This is the most affordable variant of the GLS and gets powered by a petrol engine option. It gets a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that generates a massive 258 Bhp and 600 Nm. It gets AWD as standard.
