Well, here is a Bentley Bentayga, a luxurious multi-crore SUV getting repaired by a roadside mechanic. The image shared by Automobili Ardent became viral on the Internet. The image is from a roadside mechanic in Mumbai and it did attract a lot of amused reactions by many.

We are not sure what exactly the mechanic is doing with the Bentayga here. But the picture shows that the fuel filler cap is missing. We can also spot that the grille of the car is not there and the mechanic is working in the engine bay area. From the looks of it, the Bentayga does not seem like it has broken down or not working.

However, we can gather that the fuel filler cap is removed to do a colour match and it seems like the mechanic is doing some paint touch-up job on the luxurious Bentayga.

Paint job can be expensive

In India, driving any car on the public roads and keeping it scratch free is a difficult job. With the rising congestion in the major cities, almost all the cars have a few dents and scratches on the body. Our regular mass-segment car does not takes up much of a price to fix such dents and scratches. But it is not the same story for the high-end cars.

Expensive and luxury cars get multiple layers of coats to keep the sheen on for years. The paint job on such cars, even on a panel can cost lakhs of rupees. It is quite possible that the owner of the Bentley Bentayga decided to get it fixed by a roadside mechanic. Yes, the roadside mechanic cannot give the finesse to the paint job as the professionals but for a small dent or scratch, they work just fine.
