MV Agusta opens bookings for limited edition F3 RC

MV Agusta India announced that the bookings for limited edition F3 RC have been opened. The decision comes after F3 became the largest selling product in the Indian market. The name RC stands for Reparto Corse and it is the racing version of the F3. Only 250 units of the motorcycle will be produced worldwide.

What is so special?

To start with, this is the last motorcycle from MV Agusta that has been developed under the Mercedes-Benz performance arm AMG. The motorcycle brand and the performance arm of Mercedes-Benz will part ways after this and hence, this limited edition model is a collector’s item. The limited number of 250 units will be identified with unique serial number ID plaque on each motorcycle, further increasing the uniqueness of the F3 RC.

Every limited edition of the F3 RC will be signed by MV Agusta’s racers Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanett, who are a renowned in the motorcycle racing circuit. It comes painted in only dual colors – red and white to mimic the racing colors of the MV Agusta racing team. Out of 250 units, India gets allocation for 9 units out of which 5 have been already booked.

What powers the F3 RC?

It remains mechanically unchanged. A 3-cylinder 798cc liquid-cooled engine produces a maximum power of 148 BHP at 13,000 rpm. The engine is very rev-happy and can produce a unique exhaust note through its 3-into-3 exhaust system. It can reach a top speed of 269 km/h. It is priced at Rs. 19.73 lakh.
