The Mahindra XUV700 has been in news for several reasons in recent times – whether for being awarded a full 5-star rating in Global NCAP crash tests or commanding a lengthy waiting period spanning to even one whole year. It was also in news for a specially customized ‘Javelin Edition’, which was specially announced by Mahindra’s chairman Anand Mahindra for the Olympics 2021 gold medal winner in Javelin Throw, Neeraj Chopra.
The Olympian has already been awarded the customized XUV700 ‘Javelin Throw’ edition. Here, we bring a closer look at all changes, which make it look special over a regular version of the XUV700. In a YouTube video uploaded by ‘Rajni Chaudhary’, we can see the presenter describing all the exclusive attributes of the ‘Javelin Edition’ of the Mahindra XUV700 designed for Neeraj Chopra.

The front grille of this XUV700 has an all-black treatment with the vertical slats and new Mahindra logo finished in a shade of golden. In the side profile, the Mahindra logos in the centre cap of the 18-inch alloy wheels are finished in golden too.
The right fender of this XUV700 comes with an 87.58 logo with a man throwing a Javelin, depicting the signature posture of Neeraj Chopra while throwing the Javelin. You can find this specially designed logo at many places of the vehicle, such as the boot lid, headrests on all three rows and passenger-side layering of the dashboard. There are further golden touches to the Mahindra’s twin-pikes logo, XUV700 and AX7L logos on the boot lid, Mahindra’s logo on the steering wheel and contrast golden stitching on the dashboard and seats.

It also gets a 360-degree camera, premium sound system from Sony, flush-type door handles, panoramic sunroof, drive modes, powered driver’s seat, dual-zone automatic climate control and a range of ADAS safety features.
