New Audi A4 launched at Rs.27.85 lakh!

Audi India has launched the next generation A4 luxury sedan, priced at Rs. 27.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the 1.8-litre TSI petrol variant.

The new A4 is cheaper than the outgoing model by approximately Rs. 60,000. Also the new A4 is 10 – 25 per cent more fuel efficient than the old A4 and the new A4 1.8 TSI petrol returns 15.64 Kmpl while the 2.0 TDI diesel returns a mileage of 16.55 Kmpl.

The new A4 gets a refreshed front with a tapered front grille, three dimensional Audi logo, refreshed bumper design with angular air intakes and new fog lamps. At the rear, the new A4 gets a refreshed tail lamp cluster with a new LED pattern and a redesigned bumper. The new A4 looks sharp, thanks to the LED Daytime Running Lights and Xenon Plus Headlights.

On the inside, the A4 gets a music system with eight speakers, MMI (Multi Media Interface) system with voice controls, color monitor and DVD player. With regard to driving assist features, the A4 gets active a lane assist system, adaptive cruise control, side assist system and drive select efficiency mode. Audi claims that the A4 has the longest wheelbase among its competitors which essentially means the largest legroom for rear passengers.

The new Audi A4 is bang in the BMW 3-series (Rs. 24.40 lakh – Rs. 34.59 lakh) and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class (Rs. 25.75 lakh – Rs. 32.81 lakh) territory. The A4 has already been the segment leader and its sales have been significantly higher than the 3-series and the C-Class in the recent past. The new A4 will most likely continue the leadership in this segment as it comes with sharp looks, engines with improved mileage and interiors updated with latest features.
