Bajaj Auto has put out a new TVC of the facelifted Dominar 400 motorcycles, which was launched a few months ago. Unlike previous Dominar TVCs that attained fame by taking a dig at Royal Enfield motorcycles, the latest ad has steered clear from that angle. Instead, what we have in the TVC is a highlight of all the capabilities and improved features of the new motorcycle. The TVC also highlights the fact that the Bajaj Dominar is the only Indian motorcycle to have done a Artic to Antartic odyssey across five continents. Here, check it out.
The facelifted Bajaj Dominar 400, known as the 2019 Dominar, features a slew of changes. It gets upside down front forks that is meant to improve both ride quality and handling across good roads, bad roads and off the road. The exhaust is a new, twin barrel unit that gives the engine a gruntier note that makes the engine sound much better. Bajaj Auto claims that the panels of the new Dominar 400 are put together more firmly, and this should lead to better refinement levels overall due to the vibrations reducing. There are other changes in the form of revised rear view mirrors, a new instrument cluster, bungee stays for mounting luggage and tank pads.
There are key changes to the 373cc, single cylinder four stroke engine as well. The liquid cooled engine gets twin overhead camshafts in its four valve head. The redesigned head boosts power output to 40 Bhp while peak torque remains the same at 35 Nm. The gearbox is a 6 speed manual with a slipper clutch as standard. Overall, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar gets multiple improvements to make it a better motorcycle. As for pricing, the bike is priced at Rs. 1.74 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi, which makes it about Rs. 10,000 pricier than the pre-facelift model.
Bajaj has stopped producing the non-ABS variant of the Dominar, and the new motorcycle gets dual channel ABS as standard. Bajaj Auto’s dealers are also offering many touring accessories for the motorcycle through a tie-up with a custom parts maker – Autologue Design. These affordably priced accessories give the 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 wind protection, rugged looks and add a lot of functionality for long distance touring. In fact, the Dominar is one of the best priced sports tourers offered in the Indian market currently, and is Bajaj’s flagship motorcycle as well.
