The Mahindra Thar is one of the most well-recognized lifestyle off-roaders in the country. This model is known for its imposing looks, off-road capabilities, and overall persona. Recently, Mahindra launched the RWD variants of the Thar to reach a larger market audience. The company also introduced two new colors, namely Everest White and Blazing Bronze. After a few months of waiting, the new colored Thars have started arriving at dealerships. Recently, a walkaround video of an Everest White Thar RWD was shared online.
The video of an Everest White Mahindra Thar RWD was shared on YouTube by TakuliAutoTalks. The video begins with the presenter showing the exterior of the car, finished in the new white color. He mentions that although looks and design are subjective in nature, he likes the white color of the Thar RWD. He states that the car looks amazing with the contrasting matte black hardtop and the side fender flares.

The YouTuber then mentions the pricing of the new Thar RWD. He states that the model in front of him at the moment is the LX diesel variant of the RWD Thar, which is the more expensive variant. He adds that the ex-showroom price of the LX Thar RWD is Rs 11.49 lakh, which comes to around Rs 13-14 lakh on the road, depending on the state and city across the country. He also mentions that there is a base AX(O) variant of the RWD Thar as well, which gets an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.99 lakh. The presenter states that the AX(O) is the less preferred option as it does not come with a music system or alloy wheels.
Moving on, he shows the front fascia of the SUV and mentions that the new Thar still does not get the twin peak logo at the front. Instead, it comes with the Mahindra moniker finished in chrome. He also shows the round halogen headlamps along with the rugged bumper with Thar embossed in it. Following this, he shows the car from the side and again mentions that the contrast between the Everest white and matte black looks good. He then shows the tires of the car and states that many people change them for lower profile tires, destroying the purpose of the car, which is for off-roading. He states that the RWD Thar can perform light off-roading, but anyone wishing for a more immersive 4×4 experience should get the 4×4 variant.
Following this, he shows the rear of the car and opens the boot. The Thar with the second row seats upright gets pretty small luggage space, says the presenter. Moving on, he shows the interior of the LX Thar RWD and mentions that this variant comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and manual AC. He adds that the steering wheel is a multifunction unit and gets the new Mahindra Twin peaks logo.
After this, he shows the engine compartment of the SUV and mentions that this one is the diesel-engined model, which comes with the 1.5 L engine borrowed from the XUV300. It produces around 117 bhp of maximum power and 300 Nm of torque. He also adds that this variant only comes with a 6-speed manual transmission. He also adds that the company offers the RWD variant with a 2.0 petrol engine as well, which produces around 150 bhp and 320 Nm of torque, and that gets an automatic transmission option as well.
