New Maruti Ciaz Sport: What it’ll look like

Maruti Suzuki recently launched the new 2018 Ciaz. IAB’s automotive illustrator Shoeb Kalania has come up with a render of the exterior styling of the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz S (Sports) trim.

2018 Maruti Ciaz Sport Render

The new Ciaz has been priced between Rs 8.19 – Rs. 10.97 lakh. The car is currently available in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. As seen in the render, the front grille does not have any chrome inserts. The bumper has also been given a new look with the round fog lamps replaced with horizontal LED strips.

The top of the grille gets a body-coloured trim. Talking about the sides, the car features striking all new, sporty multi-spoke alloy wheels. The side mirrors are now completely black. Coming to the rear, the boot lid spoiler further enhance the look of the Ciaz. Also, the roof is painted completely black, in stark contrast to the rest of the paint job.

As far as the interiors are concerned, Maruti Suzuki is expected to come with an all-back theme to enhance the sporty look of the car. Features like touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment unit, all-leather upholstery and cruise control are expected to come along with this Sports version. Other features will include LED projector headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights and electric-folding ORVMs.

As this is a sporty version of the regular Ciaz, safety should be a priority for the company. Therefore, safety features, such as dual front airbags, ABS, Speed Alert Warning, and seat belt reminder for front passengers are likely to be present in the car.

Comparing the regular Ciaz and the Sports variant, the former seems to have more bling while the latter is definitely sportier, justifying its name. Though any major engine change is unlikely to happen, some minor tweaks to the mechanicals can truly make it a ‘Sports’ version. Maruti is yet to sign off on the sportier Ciaz though. In the meantime, here is our video review of the new Ciaz:
