Apart from the dealership network of Maruti Suzuki, the all-new WagonR can also be booked online on the official Maruti Suzuki website. The all-new Maruti Suzuki WagonR is based on the HEARTECT platform, which also underpins the likes of Baleno, Ignis, all-new Swift and the all-new Dzire in the Indian market. The use of the all-new platform will bring down the weight considerably and will make the WagonR safer at the same time. The all-new WagonR will meet the upcoming Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assesment Program (BNVSAP) safety standards. Maruti has officially announced that the all-new WagonR will feature driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminder, speed alert system and rear parking sensors as standard features across the variants.

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR was first launched in 1999 and since then it has remained one of the top-selling cars in the market. The all-new WagonR is bigger than the current model and offers more cabin space too. It looks way different from the current-generation WagonR too. There are new headlamps, bumper and body but the overall tall-boy silhouette is maintained. The all-new WagonR also gets a sportier design and a black insert in the C-Pillar that adds a floating roof effect to the vehicle.

On the inside, the all-new WagonR will feature SmartPlay infotainment system. It is for the first time that the Maruti Suzuki WagonR will be offered with a touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The all-new WagonR will see the use of two engine options. The 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine will continue to be on the offer. Maruti Suzuki has also added the 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in the all-new WagonR, which also powers the all-new Swift and the Ignis. The power and torque figures are not out yet. The 1.0-litre engine in the WagonR currently produces a maximum power of 67 Bhp and 90 Nm of peak torque. The 1.2-litre engine is likely to produce a maximum power of 82 Bhp and 113 Nm of peak torque in the Swift. With the HEARTECT platform, the fuel efficiency and performance of the WagonR will improve as it becomes much lighter than the current WagonR. Maruti Suzuki will offer the AMT automatic transmission with both the 1.0-litre and the 1.2-litre engine options.

There are three different variants that will be available in the all-new WagonR – LXi, VXi and the ZXi. Maruti will also offer four new colours on the all-new WagonR and a total of six colours.
