The car will take on the likes of Mahindra XUV500, Jeep Compass and higher-end variants of the Kia Seltos. It will get powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine. Since Volkswagen positions its vehicles at a premium, the T-Roc will get priced at around Rs 18 lakhs., It will be launched in the first half of next year and will be showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.

The Tata Gravitas will be the brand’s answer to the stiff competition. The outside look of the Tata Gravitas will be something that is very different and looks imposing. Both Tata Harrier and Gravitas will share a lot of features among themselves including the engine and transmission too. Tata is expected to launch the automatic transmission with the Gravitas too.

Skoda Karoq

Skoda is currently heading the India 2.0 strategy in India for the VW Group and the manufacturer is planning to launch a slew of new cars in the coming year. The Skoda Karoq will be the first car from the brand that will be launched in the Indian in the first half of 2020.

Citroen AirCross

Citroen will officially enter the Indian market next year. The manufacturer will launch the AirCross as their first vehicle in the Indian market. It will be launched as a CKD product and will take on the likes of Jeep Compass. The C5 AirCross is underpinned by the EMP2 platform and design-wise, it looks unique. The car is longer than the Jeep Compass in length but it is not as big as the Mahindra XUV500. Since the Indian market is quite price-sensitive, we can definitely expect the brand to delete a few features to make it affordable and suitable for the Indian market.
