Volvo launches V40 Cross Country petrol at Rs. 27 lakh
Volvo Auto has launched the petrol variant of the V40 Cross Country in India. The V40 Cross Country diesel has been available since 2013. The new petrol variant of V40 Cross Country will be available with a T4 Engine, 1.6 GDTi (gasoline turbocharged direct injection) 4-cylinder, with a 6-speed automatic transmission. It puts out 180bhp of power and 240Nm torque. The car has some unique safety features such as laser assisted automatic braking (up to 50 kmph), stability and traction control and headlamps that turn with the wheels.
Lamborghini displays Aventador LP 750-4 SuperVeloce at Auto Shanghai 2015
At the 16th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, Automobili Lamborghini showcased the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce. Making its Asian debut, the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is the most sports-oriented and fastest series model ever produced by Lamborghini. The car is limited to 600 units. The naturally aspirated V12 engine’s power is increased to 750 bhp. The Superveloce accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 2.8 seconds and powers on to reach a top speed of more than 350 kmph.
Goodyear launches Assurance Triple Max tyres in India
Goodyear has launched a new range of tyres in India, branded Triple Max, which claims to offer much better braking performance, reducing stoppage distance by 2 metres on wet roads, with its “hydrogrip” technology. These tyres will be available as OEM and aftermarket fitment, with sizes ranging from 14-inch rims to 16-inch rims, covering most premium hatchbacks and sedans in India, and a couple of MUVs.
3M launches 50th car care store in India
3M Car Care, a unit of the Automotive After Markets Division of 3M, has launched its 50th store in India. The exclusive showroom spanning about 1600 sq ft, offers a range of car detailing services, with prices starting at about Rs. 990. Services include complete interior GermKleen (disinfecting and detailing), 3M Scotchgard paint protection film installation, and 3M complete car wraps, as well as glazing and polishing. The 50th store is in Green Park in Delhi.
