Next-Gen Kia Carnival Without Camouflage Arrives In India Ahead Of Launch

One of the upcoming launches from Kia Motors India this year is the all-new Carnival. The upcoming MPV was recently spotted in India without any camouflage. Compared to international markets, Kia was offering an older generation of the Carnival MPV in India. Last year at the Auto Expo, they showcased the KA4 MPV concept, which is actually the fourth-generation Carnival. Kia also released a facelift for the Carnival internationally, and it is the same variant that was recently spotted here on our roads.
The images have been shared by Autojournal India on its Instagram page. Kia has been testing this luxury MPV for quite some time, but this is the first time the car has been spotted without any camouflage. We see the Kia Carnival at a toll plaza. The video shows the MPV clearly. The exact location where the car was spotted is not clear. However, we assume that it was somewhere close to Kia’s manufacturing plant in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh.
The front of the MPV reveals an upright-looking front grille with the signature tiger-nose design. Just like the Seltos and other Kia models, there is an L-shaped LED DRL with vertically stacked all-LED headlamps. The ice cube design on the headlamps is clearly visible here. Fog lamps are nowhere to be seen on the bumper. There are chrome bits on the front grille, and a silver-colored faux skid plate is also seen here.
The video also shows the rear of the Kia Carnival. The MPV gets heavily revised tail lamps. The L-shaped elements at the front can be seen here as well. The tail lamp design is similar to what we have seen in Kia Seltos and Sonet facelifts.
There is an LED connecting bar that runs across the width of the car. We also see the all-new dual-tone alloy wheels, along with roof rails, a shark fin antenna, an integrated roof spoiler, and a Carnival badge on the lower left corner of the tailgate.
Just like the front, there is a silver faux skid plate, and the reverse lights are integrated into the bumper right next to the reflectors. The large electrically opening sliding doors can be seen, and the Nardo Grey-like color on the MPV actually looks good.
The fourth-generation Kia Carnival will be offered with several premium features just like its predecessor. We expect to see two 12.3-inch screens on the dashboard. One of them will be the instrument cluster, while the other will be the touchscreen infotainment system.
Rotary drive selector knob, HUD, twin sunroofs or a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone climate control (3 or 4 zones), 360-degree camera, leatherette upholstery with seat ventilation, and many more features. Kia will also be offering Level 2 ADAS along with other safety features and rear seat entertainment screens. It remains to be seen if Kia will offer 7, 9, or 11-seat configurations in India with the Carnival.
The upcoming Kia Carnival is expected to be offered with the same 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine option, which generates 201 Ps and 440 Nm of peak torque. It is going to be an extremely spacious MPV just like the older version. Kia is expected to launch the new Carnival around the festive season this year. It is going to be priced slightly above the Toyota Innova Hycross.
