Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the next generation Celerio hatchback in the market. The all-new Celerio will be launched in the market on 10 November 2021. Before the official launch, fuel efficiency figures of the hatchback has leaked. Maruti Suzuki had already mentioned in one of the teaser videos that upcoming Celerio is going to be the most fuel efficient car in the country. As per the leaked documents, the Celerio VXi variant with AGS or AMT will have a certified fuel efficiency of 26.68 kmpl. The fuel efficiency figure vary depending up on the variant you choose.
As per the document leaked, LXi, VXi and ZXI (all Manual transmission) will have a certified economy of 25.2 kmpl. ZXi+ manual transmission will return a maximum of 24.97 kmpl and ZXi AGS and ZXi+ AGS will have a certified economy of 26 kmpl. The leaked figures are actually quite impressive specially when you consider the rising fuel price.

Maruti Suzuki has already started the production for Celerio and the car has also started reaching the dealerships. Maruti Suzuki dealerships have already opened booking for Celerio and one can book the car by just paying Rs 11,000 at the dealerships. Other details about the Celerio have also been leaked along with the fuel efficiency. As per the document, Maruti Suzuki will be offering Celerio in six colour options.
The colours will be Speedy Blue, Fire Red, Silky Silver, Glistening Grey, Caffeine Brown and Arctic White. In comparison to the older generation Celerio the new one is a huge improvement. The top-end variant will come with several modern features. The car will come with keyless entry, push button start, height adjustable driver seat, steering mounted audio control, touschscreen infotainment system, 15 inch all black alloy wheels, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear defogger and wiper, tachometer, reverse parking sensors, Dual airbags, ABS with EBS, rear parking sensors, idle start stop system and so on.
The all new Maruti Celerio is based on HEARTECT platform which is lighter yet sturdy. This will help generate a lot more space on the inside. This is the same platform which is also used in cars like Swift, Wagonr, Ertiga. Maruti will be offering over 12 safety features like Hill Hold Assist (AGS), speed sensitive door lock, front seat belt reminder, speed alert system, central locking and many more.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio will be offered with one engine option. Earlier it was rumoured that the manufacturer will be offering two petrol engines with the hatchback but, according to the leaked document. Maruti Celerio will be powered by a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated K series petrol engine. This engine is expected to be peppy yet return good fuel efficiency.
The engine will be available with a manual and an AMT or AGS transmission as Maruti likes to call it. The documents do not mention anything about the CNG fuel option of Celerio.
