Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most loved SUV in India. It has a large fan base in both rural and urban parts of the country. The current generation Scorpio has been on sale for a very long time and the manufacturer kept of updating the SUV to maintain its fresh looks. We all know that an all-new Scorpio is on its way and the SUV has been spotted testing several times. We have several spy pictures and videos of the test mule from different parts of the country. The SUV is expected to be launched in the market later this year. Here we have a detailed walkaround video of a fully camouflaged Mahindra Scorpio.

The video has been uploaded by Praveen Rana vlogs on his YouTube channel. Vlogger was on a road trip to hill station in Himachal Pradesh and Mahindra is currently testing the Scorpio is high altitude and extreme weather areas. last month we had seen Mahindra Scorpio being driven through snow packed mountain roads. This looks like the same Mahindra Scorpio. Luckily, the Mahindra team had parked the Scorpio and the Mahindra Thar at the parking lot where vlogger had parked his car.

He spotted the SUV and started recording the video. In this video, vlogger takes a closer look at the vehicle and tries to show as many details as possible. He starts with the front where the Scorpio will get a new headlamp setup with projector LED headlamps. The bumper would be a muscular unit and will have the C-shaped LED DRLs with fog lamps right next to it.

The front grille will have the vertical slats which is seen on other Mahindra cars in the past. Coming to the side profile, vlogger compares the height and width of the Socprio. He mentions that the Scorpio looks slightly taller than Thar and is as wide as a Thar. Ground clearance looks less when compared to Mahindra Thar. Vlogger was showing the rear profile of the when he found out that the tail gate on the SUV was not locked.

This meant he could look into the car for more details. With all three row seats up, there is very less amount of boot space in the Scorpio. Unlike the current version, the third passengers are getting front facing seats like the new Thar. This is a 7-seater SUV. A large touchscreen infotainment system with control buttons on the centre console are also visible in the video. The steering wheel is similar to what we have seen in modern day Mahindra’s with multiple function buttons on it.

There is a possibility that the instrument cluster might also be a digital unit. The SUV looks quite muscular and the car was sitting on 17 inch alloy wheels and tyres. The SUV also gets a vertical clear lens tail lamps and the overall design of the SUV looks like a typical boxy SUV. Mahindra will be offering Scorpio with both petrol and diesel engine options. There will be a 2.0 litre turbo petrol and 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine on offer. It will be in a different states of tune when compared with Thar and XUV700. Both the engines will be offered with manual and automatic transmissions. Mahindra is expected to offer 4×4 feature with top-end variant just like the XUV700.
