Nissan Connect app launched in India; Works with Micra, Terrano & Sunny

Nissan India has launched an upgraded version of their app ‘Nissan Connect’ in India. The upgraded app gets 18 new features which are based on four key pillars – control, convenience, safety & security and social sharing. The app remains free of cost to the customers for the first three years. Currently, Nissan offers the device with its new Nissan Micra, Nissan Sunny and Nissan Terrano.

The app offers as many as 50 features including parking spot, driving statistics, route guidance, idling time, geo-fencing with multiple entry and exit points, tow away alert and track, track and trace the car and so on. It also offers an SOS button, alert for harsh braking, extreme acceleration and sharp turns. It also allows owners to talk over the Nissan community and plan group trips together.

Existing Nissan customers can also get the system installed at a payment of Rs. 15,000. It is not known how much subscription fee a user will have to pay post the three year period. There are many such devices available in the market and the customers have to pay an annual subscription fee. The app is available for Android and IOS smartphones, which covers almost all the smartphones available in the market.
