Nissan India has announced that it has delivered 30,000th Magnite in the Indian market. The Magnite has become the brand’s best-selling vehicle in the Indian market and is quite popular. Until now, Nissan has received about 72,000 bookings for the Magnite, which means that the deliveries will happen at full pace in the coming months.
The Magnite achieved the same in less than one year of its launch in the Indian market. The sales figure comes despite multiple lockdowns and rising COVID-19 cases because of the pandemic. Nissan managed to produce the cars despite the global shortage of semiconductors.

Nissan Magnite is a four-star safety rated car
The Magnite is a global product but is designed specifically for the Indian market. It is the brand’s smallest SUV on sale in markets around the world. While the car tested in A-NCAP is made-in-India, no one can confirm if the vehicle sold is identical to the India-spec vehicle. There are, however, only a few minor differences between the Global NCAP that tests vehicles for the markets around the world including India and ASEAN NCAP that tests the vehicles sold in the ASEAN countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and more.
Mr Guillaume Cartier said,
“I am pleased to handover the Nissan Global President Award to the Nissan India Operations for the successful launch of Nissan Magnite under the Nissan NEXT transformation plan. With this car we wanted to shake up the highly competitive compact SUV segment in India. The Nissan Magnite symbolizes Nissan’s commitment to driving innovation in India through daring design, technology and world class Indian manufacturing.”
Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, added:
“Launch of the all-new Nissan Magnite has proven itself to be a game-changer, redefining value in the SUV segment. Multiple awards from media and now this very special recognition of Global Nissan President Award is a proud moment for the Nissan India family. We thank the teams for their innovation, efforts and dedicate this award to the Customers for their love for Nissan Magnite making it a Big Bold Beautiful success. Cumulative bookings stand at over 72,000, a testament to the car’s popularity amongst the discerning Indian customer.”
Most affordable car in the segment
The Nissan Magnite is the most affordable car in the segment and is priced below the Kia Sonet. The Magnite offers two airbags across the variants as standard. Even the base version of the car offers the same two airbag systems. The Magnite also offers safety features like ISOFIX anchor points for the child seats, ESP, traction control, ABS, and more. Nissan is also the only manufacturer to offer a 360-degree camera system with the Magnite. Also, there is a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors and more.
Nissan announced that they will continue to offer the introductory price of the Magnite in the market for a longer period of time. At the time of the launch, Nissan announced that the introductory price of the Magnite will be valid only for the customers who book the vehicle before 31st December.
