Japanese car maker Nissan launched their all-new sub-4 meter compact SUV Magnite in the market couple of months ago. The Nissan Magnite actually became very popular among buyers in a very short time. The main reason behind it was it bold look and the affordable price tag. Nissan Magnite is currently the most affordable sub-4 meter compact SUV one can buy in India. Even the top-end model is priced under Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. Nissan has received over 35,000 bookings and over 1.5 lakh enquiries for the all-new Nissan Magnite. The Nissan Magnite competes with SUVs like Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport and Kia Sonet in the segment. On the occasion of Republic Day, Nissan India delivered over 720 units of Magnite SUVs across India.

Magnite for Nissan was a very crucial product in Indian market. Competition in the market has increased over the years and none of the Nissan products were actually doing pretty well. With the launch of Magnite, things have started to change and they have also started improving the dealership and service network across the country. Nissan Magnite has become so popular that there is a long waiting period on the SUV. There is a waiting period as long as 8 months, depending upon the variant you choose.

Nissan has already increased the production by introducing a third shift by employing over 1,000 people at the manufacturing plant. Nissan Magnite is an SUV specifically designed for India. It has a bold and beautiful design on the outside. it gets Datsun front grille with chrome outlines, there is Nissan’s new logo in the center of the grille. The front also gets all LED headlamps, LED projector fog lamps, skid plates, ‘L’ shaped LED DRLs which enhances the overall look of the SUV.
It also gets roof rails, thick cladding, sporty looking alloy wheels, split tail lamps and roof mounted spoiler on the SUV. On the inside, it gets decent list of features like wireless charging, 360 degree camera, touchscreen infotainment screen which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, cruise control multi function steering wheel and so on.
Along with the delivery of 720 units of Magnite, Nissan also launched ‘Happy with Nissan’ program which allows customer to avail certain benefits. This program allows customers to availa benefits like free 60 point vehicle check-up, 50 percent discount on certain parts and accessories, 20 percent discount on labour charge, free car top wash and oil filter. Customers also get special offers for fumigation and anti-microbial treatment.
Nissan Magnite is powered by two petrol engines. There is a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated engine that generates 72 Ps and 96 Nm of torque. Next is a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates 100 Ps and 160 Nm of torque. The turbo petrol version is available with a CVT gearbox option whereas the naturally aspirated version comes with a manual gearbox only. Nissan Magnite recently scored 4-star rating at ASEAN NCAP crash test.
