Nissan is working on the all-new SUV that will enter the highly-competitive segment of the sub-4m compact SUVs. After releasing a few teaser images earlier this year, Nissan has now officially revealed the headlamp design and a part of the front-end of the car. Nissan was expected to launch the all-new sub-4m SUV by the end of this year but it may now happen in 2021 due to COVID-19 related lockdown.
Nissan has released two new pictures of the vehicle that show the grille, the alloy wheel design and even the headlamp design of the upcoming car. The all-new Nissan Magnite will be the first sub-4m compact SUV from the brand and it will take on the successful vehicles like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra XUV300.
The Magnite will be one of the most important vehicles from the brand in the Indian market in a long time. Since the popularity of SUVs is on the rise in India, Nissan tried capturing the market share with the all-new Kicks. Even with the segment-first features, the Kicks did not do as well on the sales chart as expected.

Coming back to the Magnite, it will be based on the CMF-A+ platform that also underpins the all-new Renault Triber. The same platform will also underpin the upcoming Renault SUV, which is codenamed as the HBC.
The all-new Magnite looks quite interesting in the teaser images released by Nissan. The headlamps have integrated LED DRL and look very sharp. While the car has a large front grille. The alloy wheels also look very aggressive and we can also spot the red brake callipers in the car, which indicate that Nissan will market the Magnite as a sporty option in the market.
Earlier, teaser images of the Magnite indicated that the car will have a busy front-end design. Also, form the side, it will have design similarities to the Kicks. The top-end version is also expected to get a long list of features. The Magnite will also see stiff competition from the upcoming Kia Sonet, which will be launched later this year in the market. Nissan is likely to price the upcoming Magnite very aggressively in the market, which will attract the attention of the customers.
Powering the all-new Magnite will be only petrol engine options. While Nissan has not officially revealed the engine specifications of the car, it is most likely to get the 1.0-litre naturally aspired engine that generates a maximum power of 72 PS and 96 Nm of peak torque.
