Nissan opens first high performance centre in India

Currently, Nissan has only opened one for the whole of the country. The same is located in Noida, in Delhi NCR. The dealership, Neo Nissan will be the sole dealer that will have the vehicle on display and will be available to sell the vehicle. They will also cater to the service of the car throughout the country. The sales and service team there has undergone intense training on the GT-R in Japan and hence are equipped to handle all problems that can come up.

Changes made?

With the GT-R, the service station has had to improve their body shop. Since the body panels and the paint that are used on the GT-R are high end and unique to it, the body shop had to be updated to manage the aluminium body shell of the GT-R. In addition to that, they have had to come up with a new wheel alingment machine and a new wheel balancing machine, only for the GT-R since the rear wheels are also ajdustable in the GT-R. Having a lot of technology on-board, there is a new diagnostic device that has been brought that can monitor the GT-R. There are only a few set of trained mechanics that have the oppurtunity to work on the GT-R.

The car

As we mentioned above, the GT-R is the halo car from Nissan. It is powered by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V6 making 565 Bhp and 637 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox (twin clutch) and is power is transmitted to all 4-wheels. The GT-R will be offered in 7 exterior colour options and 4 interior colour options. A total time of 6 months will be required for the vehicle to be delivered, once booked. India will only get 10 GT-Rs in this fiscal year and most of them are already sold out. With an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.99 crores, the GT-R isn’t really cheap, but it is certainly a car worth buying for enthusiasts.
