Time flies, and the Nissan Terrano SUV is already a year old in the Indian car market. A badge engineered version of the Renault Duster, the Terrano is the vehicle that is consistently at the top of sales charts for Nissan India, eclipsing the likes of lwer priced cars such at the Micra hatchback and the Sunny sedan. Well, that’s more proof that SUVs sell and sell big in India. Delving straight into the anniversary edition of the Terrano, the new variant comes right at the time when car buying interest in the country scales its yearly peak, or in other words, during the festive season.
To give a gist what’s new on the Anniversary Edition of the Terrano, changes are both cosmetic and functional. The new cosmetic bits on the Terrano Anniversary Edition XV D PHP 110 PS Diesel variant include,
- Contrast roof in black, with black bonnet stripes and wing mirror housings
- Hatch lid spoiler
- Anniversary badging
- Side steps
- Chrome treatment for the door handles and boot step
New Functional bits on the Terrano XV D PHP 110 PS Diesel variant include,

The Terrano XV D PHP Premium 110 PS Diesel variant adds leather seats and a zebra wood finish for door inserts. To keep things exclusive, Nissan India will build only 450 units of the Terrano Anniversary Edition SUV. Booking the SUV has to be done by means of the Nissan website. Click here to do so rightaway.
The engine on the Anniversary Edition of the Terrano is a 1.5 liter K9K turbocharged diesel unit that makes 108 Bhp-248 Nm. A six speed manual gearbox drives the front wheels of the SUV. Although the Renault Duster is now available with an all wheel drive function, Nissan hasn’t made any positive noises about adding such a feature to the Terrano.
The Terrano XV D PHP 110 PS variant is priced at 12.83 lakh rupees, ex-showroom Delhi, while the Premium variant is 30,000 rupees pricier at 13.13 lakhs. The Terrano is also available with 1.6 liter petrol (102 Bhp-140 Nm) and 1.5 liter turbo diesel (84 Bhp-200 Nm) engines, which operate with 5 speed manual transmissions.
