Soon after announcing the launch of the newest and most affordable variant of its all-electric scooter the S1 Air, the electric mobility firm of the Bengaluru-based cab aggregator Ola Cabs, Ola Electric surprised the nation with a new teaser and interior glimpse of its forthcoming electric car. The company at the Diwali launch event of the S1 Air released some pictures and a teaser showcasing a few more design details of the upcoming Ola crossover sedan.
From the images that the Bengaluru-based carmaker has provided, its first electric vehicle will feature an ultramodern and clean interior that is similar to the interiors of American EV giant Tesla’s automobiles. The steering wheel’s hexagonal shape is one of the most noteworthy design features. On both sides of the sterring wheel it will get toggle switches and buttons that are identical. Additionally, the lack of icons suggests that these could be multi-function buttons like those Tesla provides as well. The Ola EV’s steering controls may be programmable to handle a variety of features and functions in the vehicle.
Upon further observation we can spot that the interior will also feature a cool blue interior ambient lighting behind the steering wheel, and a little free-standing digital instrument cluster with a digital speedometer readout. A larger view of the dashboard as a whole reveals more of the uncluttered, simple layout. At the very top, a slender bank of AC vents that might be followed by a thin strip of ambient lighting can be noted as well. A sizable touchscreen that will be oriented in a landscape pattern with a floating design in the middle will also be present. There aren’t any additional buttons or switches to be seen on the dashboard, which may indicate that the touchscreen alone contains all controls, once again just like the Tesla automobiles.

As per the newest official teaser we can also see that the company has provided us with a new frontal view of the exterior which has not been shown before. This new view gives us the impression that the design is still being worked on.
Moving further we can note that the rather vertical windscreen and what looks to be a high-riding car give away the fact that this forthcoming automobile will be a crossover. A minimalistic, rounded form, smoothened air intakes low in the front bumper, and a horizontal LED light strip across the nose with the Ola logo in the middle are just a few of the visual references to earlier teases. The headlamp characteristic, which resembles two stacked horizontal blocks, is new in this case. Even the bonnet has some sculpture, and the wing mirrors have been replaced with cameras.
The platform and drivetrain of Ola Electric’s all-electric car are yet unknown as the company has remained quite lipped. of Nevertheless, aside from its incredible range of more than 500 kilometres on a single charge, this first car from Ola Electric promises to have a 0-100 km/h speed of under four seconds, which is sportscar territory. At the time of its debut, this will make the automobile the most sporty made-in-India vehicle, said Ola Electric Chief. The manufacturer also stated that the coupe-like design and aerodynamic improvements have resulted in a very low drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd, which is also projected to be the lowest among all Indian-made automobiles.
