Okinawa Okhi90 electric scooter priced Rs 1.22 lakh

The Gurugram based electric two-wheeler maker Okinawa Autotech after taking the second spot in the largest EV manufacturer list in India has now launched its newest long-range all-electric scooter – the OKHI 90. The all-new flagship scooter from Okinawa has been launched at a price of Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, post FAME II subsidy). According to the company the scooter has been designed by keeping in mind the needs of the city residents and boasts an all-new design with a ton of advanced technological features.

In terms of design, the OKHI 90 gets a large Maxi scooter like styling with Okinawa Logo Inspired LED Headlight with DRL upfront. The scooter’s overall bigger appearance sets it apart from other electric scooters in the country. On the rear, the e-scooter gets a uniquely designed LED taillamp.

The OKHI 90 gets a ton of features and the list of which includes a key-less remote, automatic key locking system, parking mode, digital information Speedometer with detailed battery voltage information, mobile charging USB port, real-time asset tracking with GPS, find my device, driver behaviour, anti-theft alarm, Bluetooth connectivity, luggage lightbox, geo-fencing and much more.

It also gets a set of first of its kind 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels. These are the largest alloy wheels to be fitted on a scooter in India and come wrapped with big 100/80-16 tubeless tyres in front and 120/80 tubeless tyres in the rear for additional grip and improvement in the overall riding experience. Dimensionally the scooter measures 2220 X 710 X 1160mm. It also gets disc brakes on both ends. OKHI 90 gets a ground clearance of 175mm and its seat height measures in at 900mm.

Powering this e-scooter is a 3800 Watt, centrally mounted motor which comes with an IP-65 rating to protect it from dust and water. It also gets a removable 72V 50 AH lithium-ion battery that supports fast charging and it can provide a range of more than 160 km in a single full charge. The scooter clocks a top speed of 90 kmph and can go from 0-90 kmph in just 10 seconds. It comes with two driving modes in which the first is an Eco mode which has a max speed of 60 kmph and the other is a sports mode in which the scooter can accelerate to 85-90 kmph.

The Okinawa Okhi-90 is priced at Rs 1,21,866. The price with FAME II and state subsidy is Rs 1,03,866 in Delhi, Rs 1,03,866 in Maharashtra, Rs 1,01,866 in Gujarat, Rs 1,14,866 in Rajasthan, and Rs 1,16,866 in Orissa. Okinawa Autotech provides a 3-year guarantee on the OKHI 90 battery.
