After months of delays, Ola Electric finally started delivering the scooters earlier this month. With the mass deliveries making headlines, many customers are unhappy about the manufacturing defects and the quality of the scooters.

Many have even started complaining about social media platforms. Here is one such customer who will receive a brand-new replacement scooter.

With the number of bookings skyrocketing, many Ola customers who have booked the scooter have started to show their disappointment online. Kartik Varma on Twitter said that he received the Ola S1 Pro at Vishakapatnam and the scooter had cracks and dents all over the body. When he complained about the same, the manager of the store said that they will repair the scooter. However, Kartik said that he paid for a new scooter and not a refurbished one. Ola then replied to Kartik and assured him that he will get a replacement scooter and not the repaired one.

Kartik further complained about the gap between the LCD panel and the holder and water can seep inside from the gap. He also said that the test ride scooters were showing 152 km on 98% while the unit he received shows only 135 km on 100% charge.

Ola replied to Kartik saying that they will deliver a brand-new Ola S1 Pro scooter will be delivered to him.

More customers complain

Customers who have already received the scooter have come out with various problems online. One of the owners said that the scooter stopped charging early in the morning and it did not charge the scooter to 100 percent. The scooter and the charger needed reset to work again.

While others have complained about the scooter’s range. One of the customers said that he tested the scooter four times and all four times, he failed to cross 100 km on a single charge.

One of the customers tweeted that his brand-new Ola S1 Pro had to be towed within 24 hours of delivery due to screeching noise and headlamp issues. He also added that he is yet to get back the unit even though the customer care promised to return back the machine within a couple of hours.

Rajiv Bajaj took a jibe at Ola

Bossman of Bajaj Auto Limited, Rajiv Bajaj came all out against the new-age electric scooter manufacturers. He said that the BET or the Bajaj, Enfield, and TVS eat OATS or Ola, Ather, Tork, and Sharp-E for breakfast.

The statement came at a time when Ola was still preparing to meet the deadline of producing the scooters. Rajiv Bajaj also took a dig at Ola by saying that the company is delaying deliveries on its scooters.
