Mahindra recently has recently launched the Scorpio N in the market and deliveries have also begun. Several videos related to Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic have been surfacing online. There are several ownership and walkaround videos of Mahindra Scorpio N. There are still people who like the looks of Scorpio and that is one of the reason why Mahindra has not discontinued it. It is currently being sold as Scorpio Classic and here we have a video where Mahindra Scorpio and a Scorpio N are competing against each other in a tug of war.
The video has been uploaded by Arun Panwar on his YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger takes the Scorpio N and Scorpio to a road with absolutely no traffic on it. Scorpio seen here in the video is not the Scorpio Classic. It is the older S5 version. Vlogger starts by talking about the technical specification of both the SUV. The Scorpio S5 was powered by a 2.2 litre mHawk turbo diesel engine that generates 120 Bhp and 270 Nm of peak torque. The Scorpio N on the other hand is also powered by a 2.2 litre mHawk turbo diesel engine but, it generates 172 Bhp and 370 Nm of peak torque.

Both the SUVs seen here in the video are manual SUVs. Both the SUVs were tied to each other using metal rope and both of them prepare for the tug of war. The competition starts and both them start pulling each other. surprisingly, in the first round, Mahindra Scorpio pulled Scorpio N effortlessly. Vlogger was surprised because on paper, Scorpio N had advantage and he was sure that the Scorpio N would win. After the first round, Scorpio was declared the winner and they figured out the road had a slope which gave the SUV advantage.
After the first round, they took both the SUVs to a different part of the road where it was levelled. The metal rope was tied and both SUVs start pulling each other once again. In the second round, Scorpio initially had the advantage, it did pull the Scorpio N but, after some time, the Scorpio N started showcasing its true colours and it managed to pull the SUV out very easily. Scorpio was not able get traction and the tyre were slow and it had soon started spinning freely. For the third round, both the SUVs started pulling each other and Scorpio N pulled the older Scorpio so hard that, it almost ended up in the farm.
Vlogger mentioned that both Scorpio N and the older Scorpio had enought power and torque. The reason why Scorpio had an advantage in the first round was because of the way power in delivered in both the SUVs. In Scorpio N, Mahindra has set a rev limited which does not let the driver put too much pressure on the engine. This thing is not present in the Scorpio. Scorpio N’s power delivery is linear while in Scorpio it is a lot more aggressive or crude. Scorpio N was announced as the winner in this tug of war.
