Old Swift bookings converted to the 2011 Swift

Maruti Suzuki’s hot hatchback, the new Swift has already got a long queue of customers. Buyers, who have booked the Swift since April 2011 and had been waiting for these few months, will be getting new Swift that is expected to be launched by the end of August 2011.

Maruti Suzuki dealers started accepting bookings for the new Swift a couple of weeks ago. When we contacted a Mumbai dealer, he said that the present Swift production had been stopped long back and they don’t have the present model. See photos of the new Swift in our photo gallery.

So they are converting the present Swift bookings to new Swift bookings. The Mumbai dealer further said that for even the buyers who booked the Swift two months back will get the new model when launched.

The advance booking amount for the new Swift is Rs. 10,000. The dealers are expecting that the new model would be priced roughly Rs. 10,000 (max) more than the present model. To read more click here.

A Delhi dealer informed us that they have converted around 50 bookings (done in April 2011) to new Swift bookings. A dealer in Chennai said they have started taking bookings for the new Swift a couple of days ago.
