Old Yezdi motorcycle beautifully modified into a bobber [Video]

Yezdi motorcycle was a very popular name in the mid-nineties. The motorcycle is still very close to the heart of many motorcyclists. Even today, there are several examples of well maintained Yezdi motorcycles in India. Many of them have been featured on our website in the past. Mahindra owned Classic Legends has bought Yezdi and will be bringing it back to the market. The all-new Yezdi motorcycle have been spotted testing several times and is expected to be launched in the market soon. Many owners of the old Yezdi motorcycle have now started to modify it and here we have one such beautifully modified Yezdi motorcycle.

The video has been shared by Rathor Motors on their Youtube channel. It looks like one of their recent  project. In this video, vlogger gives a quick walkaround of the motorcycle. As this is a walkaround video, it does not mention or say anything about the modifications. Here in this article, we’ll be talking about all the changes or modifications that we could manage to see in the video.

Starting with the front, the motorcycle gets a new set of wheels. The spoke wheels are wrapped with chunky looking tyres. Vlogger has modified a regular Yezdi motorcycle into a bobber. The original front forks on the motorcycle have been replaced for another unit. Both front an the rear get disc brakes as well. The bike also gets custom made fenders at the front and rear.

As we move up, the original headlamp unit on the motorcycle has been replaced for a smaller aftermarket unit. There is an off-set single pod analog instrument cluster and there are clip on handle bars as well. There are rear view mirrors placed below the handlebars.

The fuel tank on this motorcycle has been completely changed. It does not look like a Yezdi at all. The fuel tank on this motorcycle is from a current generation Jawa. Modifications have been made to the frame of the motorcycle. It is now a single seater motorcycle. Instead of dual shock absorbers, the rear now gets mono-shock suspension.

Video does not mention whether the engine was repaired or not. It is however the original engine. The vlogger starts the engine and the classic exhaust note from the motorcycle can be heard. The frame of the motorcycle has been completely reworked to achieve bobber like stance. The rear gets custom fender and the chunky rear tyre is left exposed.

The tail lamps and the turn indicators are placed on the side panels. The motorcycle also gets custom made exhaust. The twin exhaust on this motorcycle has been retained. Yezdi recently released a teaser video of the motorcycle. The teaser video shows a glimpse of the upcoming motorcycle. The upcoming Yezdi motorcycle is most likely to be a dual-purpose adventure tourer. The motorcycle has been spotted several times on Indian roads. The motorcycle is likely to compete with Royal Enfield Himalayan and is likely to be powered by a 334-cc engine from Jawa Perak.
